Starting to like SB more than CR keep it up, it's nice to have competition

    • +4

Although CR is an AU company whilst SB is SG

      • +7

But by that logic, we should consider that in the case of Harvey Norman vs Gearbest/AliExpress etc?

        • +1

but Jerry wants consumers to pay more to line his pockets…

        • +5

Yes, of course. HN gives you warranty, Aus consumer law applies, products are genuine, etc. Ali is 10% of the price. You can weigh up the factors and choose your own adventure.

            @abb:

You can weigh up the factors and choose your own adventure.

Agree. Your points are pretty valid.

And same applies here (in being able to choose your own adventure).

CR doesn't give me warranty, products that are any more genuine than SB. I would imagine some type of Aus consumer law applies though.

Otherwise, we're talking about cashback vs cashback and personally I would pick the one that gives me more.

Are these permanent now? That's great !!!!
I know about SB as soon as i know CR, but never tried it before last week.
I had a very good experience. I opened zapal from SB, but when i click to the deal from Ozbargain to Zapal and bought from there. After finishing i discovered that the zapal opened through SB is left there untouched…. but stil somehow SB registered my purchase! Amazing

    • I find SB hopeless at recognising purchases. CR never seems to miss a beat. I am highly focussed on ensuring everything is done correctly - I even have a dedicated browser. Unlikely I will try SB again.

      • I can confirm again that, just 10 minutes before this comment, I, again, click through SB to zapal to buy some stuff…but i DID NOT BUY THROUGH THAT TAB. I, instead, bought through another tab opened earlier with basket ready! just right after i click on payment done, i discovered that i did not go through the tab opened from SB…..still 10 minutes later I got SB notification of that purchase, this is insane from their part.

        • I just click the activate on the extension and worked 100% on over 50 cashbacks via SB. Even with CR I'm pretty sure they tell you not to swap tabs as there *can be issues.

          • @humperdoo: with CR, I missed my purchase if I do not pay via the tab open from CB.
But today is the 2nd time, i paid in a totally different tab with the one i opened via SB, still SB registered that purchase.

  • edit: got it working

  • daman just bought something two days ago from amazon!!!

    • Cancel and reorder?

  • How long in cashback until I can withdraw the money?

    • Hi sauce2k6,

It depends on the store, but for most it takes them around 2-3 months to confirm before you're able to withdraw.

      • Sweet thanks for the reply :)

  • Goid deal. Today only?

  • My ShopBack ubereats is still showing $2. Not $5…And I have noticed menulog’s prices are cheaper than ubereats (in my area)

    • Hi mickey888,

When did you place the Uber Eats order?

      • This morning it was $2 (just before 10am), but it’s all good cause it’s showing $5 now

Hey Rep could you please do something with the fact that you don't provide an option to "continue anyway" when you notice adblock usage even tho it was "paused on all sites". That's the only reason why I use CR lately instead.

    • Hi jellical,

Thanks your feedback here and we'd definitely like to pass this on to our tech team. Would you also be able to let us know precisely what browser and adblock extension you're using?

      • Chrome - Version 70.0.3538.77 (Official Build) (64-bit)

        AdBlock - 3.34.0

        ShopBack Cashback Button - 3.2.1

When I press "activate cashback" in your chrome plugin I get a page with

"Oh no! Your installed ad blocker plugin is stopping you from getting cashback!
        Find Out More"

message and store logo on it. If I press "back" after that - it seems like cashback is activated (i see the green ShopBack button) but this is kind of confusing.

        • Thanks for providing those details, appreciate it a lot!

  • Is it possible to use the app and apply Shopback for Groupon?

    • Would like to know this too

      • +1

        Hi CVonC,

        Yep you can.

    • +1

      Hi marcuswalters,

Yes you can go from the ShopBack app to the Groupon app and earn cashback as usual.

  • I'm seeing $2 cashback for Uber Eats on the website, do I need to be using an app or something?

    • Hi theknight27, sorry we've fixed this up. It should be $5 till the end of today and you can use the ShopBack app or website to get this rate.

      • Awesome thanks for having my back! Are all of the offers in the main post just for today early? I can't see an end date.

        • No worries! Yes that's correct - they're only available for today :)
