Why is it necessary to draw attention to the speed of his typing?

    • Not really if you count in luggage. Philippine airlines every now and then drops to this zone.

      • Really $380 return.
        When?

It's possible to travel light with carry on baggage only.

        • +2

But you're going to manilla and will need to pack all that bulky cold weather gear……

        • I love travelling carry on only.less delays checking in and getting out of the airport.

I do find however that if you only have carry on, high chance your carry on will be weighed.

  • thanks

Sure is easy to travel light in the Philippines you only need 3 days of clothes maximum.
Its like $2-$3 to have your clothes (up to 5kg) washed dried and folded at any laundromat.

      • True, I paid 29 pesos (77c) a kilo a couple of days ago at an inner city laundomat.
They offer an express service for about 40 pesos a kilo for a turn around time of about 6 to 7 hours.

While I am here - another bit of advice.
Currency exchange. Get the bare minimum cash you need from Australia to last you until you find a money changer in the Philippines .Then change your Australian dollars there as the rate is miles better.

As an example I got 30 pesos in the dollar in Australia compared to 37.5 pesos to the dollar in local money changes. The difference with even $500 is huge.

  • Can you give me an example of the $208 from Melbourne.
I can't seem to find it and the site does not make it easy to look at multiple dates.
