    Cathay Pacific need to lower their fares to be price competitive with Qantas and Virgin for travelers that are only going to HK.

      Fair enough, however I find Cathay better than Virgin, on par overall with Qantas but flight staff much nicer than Qantas… In my experience I would pay a little extra time to fly Cathay.

    What's the typical weather inHK in Jan. Wintery cold, or Typhoon warnings season.
    We've been in September/October and found it hot but bearable.

      It’s winter in January . But I won’t say it is cold cold. It is coldest during CNY. I think you will prefer January.
