Annual fee $295 in first year; $395 in subsequent years

This bonus points offer is not available to existing customers who have received or are entitled to receive NAB Qantas Rewards Bonus Points for a new personal NAB Qantas Rewards credit card in the twelve months prior to the opening of a NAB Qantas Rewards Signature Card, NAB Qantas Rewards Premium Card or NAB Qantas Rewards Card account.

    Annual fee kills the deal

Not the cheapest but good for those who are out of options of churning. If using a referral and valuing 1.1c per point, effectively paying $295 annual fee for more than $1,200 worth of points.

      • Where are you getting 1.1c per point?

I've only been offered 1.0c per point from the usual contacts.

Check the recent Classifieds. Some been sold for 1.2c.

      • Westpac is 120K points with $0 annual fee.

        • +1

          But with 2 credit checks

          • @lilkid28: So the 1 extra check is not worth saving $295 annual fee and 20K extra points.

            • @Homr: In the past I have gotten double the amount of bonus points and a refund on my annual fee because of Nab’s incompetence. I would still go for as I know their rewards system is still broken. YMMV

              • @nightelves: Huh? So you're saying we can potentially get 200K bonus points and $0 annual fee if NAB is incompetent?

          • @lilkid28: Why does the Westpac have 2 credit checks and this one 1 (assuming)?

            • @Devil: Westpac deal is for two cards - the visa and an amex. Both Westpac and Amex need to do a check.

        • Which Westpac card is this?

    • +1

Not really. 110,000 points can be sold very easily for cash of $1100 (1c per point).

      $1100 - $295 = $805 profit

    • Still, $700 profit

    • call year end, to ask them to waive the next year fee.

  • i think nab share holder can get fee waived for life? also i have the classic reward card where do i go to find my referral code?

    • You need to have 500 shares and that doesn't apply to this card, only the Qantas Premium

      • +1

At this moment that 500 NAB shares at $24.24 per share (the price 20mins ago from this post) means that to save a couple of hundred dollars on a credit card fee you need invest $12,120 + brokerage. Might be a bargain if you have faith in the banks and the Aussie housing market. It's instant dividends in you want a credit card but yeah might be costly should the shares fall further.

Bendigo bank on the on the other hand you only need 1 share to be considered eligible but the offers aren't as strong.

    • This card (Signature) is not included - only the NAB Qantas Rewards and Premium.

What's the minimum income, can't seem to find it

    • $75K

Some people can get away with $75K including super so practically $68.5K

    • I called to find out about this…and their reply was that there's no minimum and it's solely based on each person's situation.

  • To reach the minimum, would one be able to purchase fully refundable flight tickets, get the points, then cancel and get a refund?

    • In theory yes.

  • Anyone know how to get mods to set referral link up so everyone can get extra points?

  • Damn, I signed up for the 90k points just over a month ago. For income minimum questions - I was approved with $70k TEC.

  • I've got the choice package, I can get this card for free but I cancelled my last NAB Qantas Signature card in February.

After I closed my account NAB followed suit with other banks and brought 12 month wait period restriction. But because I had closed my account before that new rule came out I'm now indecisive whether or not I should apply for this one.

    • I know first hand example that someone still got the points even after closing the account < 12 months.

      • How recently? It was always the case with NAB but not sure if this is still happening :/

        • Last month. Yes I know that it used to be a thing that NAB didnt check. I even told this person this. But can confirm she got the 100K bonus.

Can somebody post a NAB referral then so I can use it to get 10k extra points. KTHX :)

    • This is now set up. Please use the "edit" button found on your user profiles to enter your referral codes into the referral pools.

Please do not share referral codes openly.

      • First time I've added a referral code, just wanted to comment how simple it was. Thanks @scrimshaw

Nice. 230K Qantas points between the good lady and myself. This game is getting too easy.

    • Have you gotten your points yet?

  • Guys, how do I find my own referral link? Thanks

    • Check your email. Title should be <name>, we'd like to treat you and your friends sent from [email protected]

  • Hi, anyone know how to get my own referral link.?

i did not recieve any email from mailto:[email protected]

  • Looks good

Might actually sign up - first 'paid' credit card.

  • does anyone know if council rates are counted towards the $4000 spend?

    • Why wouldn't it be counted towards spend?

      • some of the cards don't accept government charges as part of the spend requirement

        • Really? Good to know. Which ones may I ask?

  • My points landed today however I only got 100,000 despite using a referral from Ozbargain and having the persons name show up when I clicked through. Did this happen to anyone else?

    • So far I haven't received the 10,000 bonus points as referrer. Perhaps Qantas will be giving the bonus out separately in due time?

      • Hopefully. I'll probably give them, a call later to check though…

      • same here! got the 100k, but still waiting for the 10k referral bonus…

called up QFF customer service, and was advised it will be credited on the 28th Feb 2019. fingers crossed
