710 and 845 are not far in difference between them and the oneplus 6t which is from the same mother company is almost 300 more and not even aussie stock. Both have great cameras, plenty of storage big amounts of ram and features that alot of the big players have yet to implement. Not to mention the phone charges fully in 35 minutes from 0. It may not appeal to the tech heads but with cour options and camera set up, it certainly will appeal to alot of people who just don't care about specs.
Don't compare this to the 6t. You can get the 6 for much cheaper lol

Maybe compared with last year's SD835.. but still trails behind that by 20% on most benchmarks.
I wouldn't even consider this over a 6T or even a 6, but as you say, if you don't care about specs of updates, then yes this is a decent phone. Still not worth the price IMO though.

as infor becomes more & more transparent, more & more people know better. same thing goes for any cos - yesterday's big drop in share price of another co.
Been tempted by the R17 Pro as the hardware looks amazing (especially camera and dual battery). And yes the 710 chip would be absolutely fine too - including longer screen-on time vs the 845.
However price point and "ColorOS" are a turn-off at the moment. Also wish this and the OP6T had better than FHD+ displays so they could be used for VR.
Oppo never again! Got a OPPO F1F as a backup that I bought 2.5 years ago, never got any updates, still stuck on android 5.1.1.
