For the love of god don't make the same mistake I did. No amount of money is worth having to stay in Manilla airport for any period of time. With my hand over my heart covering my OzBargain badge, it simply isn't worth the saving.

    • Unless you plan on staying there for a while :)

Care to share why? - Just curious.

      • Lack of amenities, disorganized, crowded. Also I heard that you have to go through multiple baggage searches depending on where you're going.

      • The absolute worst airport ever. Lack of amenities. Seating. To travel between terminals you cannot walk. Most food places don't take Visa/Mastercard - cash only. Crowded. Dirty. SMALL. You can walk the whole thing in a jiffy. It's just not worth it. I'll never fly via Manilla again. I spent a good portion of my trip to Japan dreading having to spend 6 hours there on the way home.

      • 1 - If you or your spouse are from the PH.
2 - You want to do sightseeing, nature, etc. It's a very cheap country too.
3 - You want to find love (oh lala), I know one person who has done so and is happily married.

I've personally always wanted to go see the nature there.
Shitty airport sucks but doesn't put me off, I've seen my fair share of bad airports or just shitty places in general in the Middle East.

        • I think they were talking specifically about the airport.

          • @[Deactivated]: Yes only talking about the airport. If you were staying in PH there would be minimal need to be at the airport at all? Also its worth noting that the Philippine Airlines were good relative to what they charge.

  • Full service?

    • Maybe on a Chinese airline but even then I’d be surprised.

  • Come on october flights for the Rugby World Cup!
