A first post on a good deal doesn't deserve a neg.

      • +10

Didn't see the "L" plates. Just saw Harvey Norman and my blood started boiling.

        • +3

All good tiger. Easy to reneg the neg.

        • If only people got this angry at the cause of the problem, which is the two major parties that take money from businesses, including Gerry's, to act against your interests (which usually means you losing money).

    • +9

Geez man, Officeworks is $1 cheaper because they adjusted their prices AFTER Harvey Norman, so that they don’t have to price match. Your neg is unwarranted.

      • -6

Officeworks never go $1 cheaper. They match the exact price.

        • Don’t know why this is being negged. This is the first time I have seen OW go $1 cheaper than a competitor. Usually all they have to do is match the price because you can’t beat Officeworks’ price if it’s the same.

    • +3

What’s with the neg? This is a good deal.

    • come on dude. tht is unfair. This is his first post and it is actually a good post. Dont push him down. Revoke your neg

      • Slightly bigger range at Harvey's too
Free delivery with Shipster too, which a lot of people will have. Officeworks is free for metro, but not regional.

        • +1

The usual work around with OW for free regional delivery for >$55 orders is to go via their eBay store (admittedly I haven’t needed to do so for several months now but it should still work).

    • -5

Harvey Norman is great aussie brand.
If you are only talking $1 then you should support HN.

You could post OW as a deal if you think it is worth negging about.

  • +1

Are these likely to show up any cheaper over Black Friday sales?

    • +3

      anyone's guess

    • ordered from officeworks. credit card has been charged but no email confirmation of order :/ (it's been almost an hour)
edit: ~1hr 10min later i got an email stating order processing is delayed this evening

  • Good deal, damn I bought it just 3 weeks ago from HN itself. Looks like they provide price protection for only 7 days

    • +2

This is why you don't shop at HN.

      • tried on chat but they remind of their $hit franchise model and have to visit the same store to see if they can do but their policy is 7 days policy so may be not really worth..

  • Whats changed in apple watch 4?

    • +3

      Use google.

    • ECG, that’s the main part for the upgrade and totally worth it to better monitor your heart and alert you with potential health risks. Also, the fall dectection is another great feature for older people :)

      • Just be aware the ECG feature hasn’t been approved outside of the United States, so you may been waiting a while for that.

        • the theory goes…change your itunes to a usa account, get app, change it back…well i'm hoping it will work that way :p

        • Not even available in the US yet either. Still awaiting the software update to be released.

    • Huge difference, a much bigger screen, faster, better battery.

    • Bigger screen, much faster processor, bigger battery. I’m now down to about 75-80% at the end of the day whereas with my old Apple Watch it was between 10-15%. The processor actually makes the S4 a joy to use. It’s lightning fast for everything.

Price match with David Jones and stack with $50 off with $300 purchase from AMEX. $297 Apple Watch FTW.

    • And claim TRS

      • Question with the TRS.

As I was reading through https://www.ausbt.com.au/govt-cracks-down-on-airport-trs-reb… - I just wanted to confirm about your personal experiences.
I'm flying overseas on January for a week and would buy gadgets to claim under TRS. If I claim say, a phone and got the 10% back - if I return to Australia, do I need to pay it back to them again?

        • Just got this from their website.

the purchases are from a single business with the same Australian business number (ABN) and total AUD$300 (GST inclusive) or more. For example, if you bought items from one business, even on separate invoices, that together total AUD$300 the goods were purchased within 60 days of departure from Australia
the traveller has original tax invoice/s for the goods
the travelling passenger paid for the goods
carry or wear the goods on board the aircraft or ship as cabin baggage unless they are oversized or subject to aviation security measures and the airline requires them to be checked in as hold luggage
present their tax invoices (in English), goods, passport and boarding pass to the TRS facility when departing Australia
make the claim at the TRS facility at an airport at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time or 60 minutes if travelling on a cruise.
Residents of Australia's external territories, such as Norfolk Island, Christmas Island and the Cocos (Keeling) Islands, can also get a GST refund if they export the goods to their home territory as accompanied or unaccompanied baggage or as cargo.

Travellers bringing goods back into Australia for which they have already claimed a TRS refund
ABF may refer false or misleading Tourist Refund claims to us. If this happens we may decide to review the claim and even if the traveller did not get a refund they could be penalised.

If the total value of the goods a traveller is bringing into Australia that they have purchased overseas or for which they have claimed a refund under TRS is greater than their passenger concession (exceeds AUD$900):

they must declare all of these goods on your incoming passenger card
they will need to repay the GST refund back on the goods they claimed under the TRS
duty and GST will apply to all items purchased, not just goods over the limit of their passenger concession.
Penalties can apply if travellers don't declare that they have goods in excess of their passenger concession.

  • he he $346 at OW

    • That was what the first comment referenced. But hidden by negs.

      • Oops - yes sorry

Series 4 is way better. Bigger screen, faster processor, ECG, Fall detection, more complications, louder speaker.

    • +2

      and costs nearly double :)

      Fall detection

Do we really need a watch to tell that it's Autumn?

    Nice first post mate..

Anyone wants to buy this one instead :D

    $12,099.99 - Apple Watch Series 3

    • To be fair, it does have free delivery. This one you either have to go to a store or pay for delivery (unless you have shipster, or purchase from Officeworks and live in a metro area).

    • Lol at the frequently bought together section

    • +1

Thanks.. I’ve been tracking this one for a while to get a good price. Have bought using Harvey Norman Gift Vouchers at 5% off - Passcode: “dreamrewards”, https://sunsuper.redeemyourgiftcard.com.au/.

      • Hey mate. How'd you go with using that site? Any issues and was the gift card delivery time quick?

      • ?

  • +4

The difference b/w 3 and 4 is amazing in terms of the screen, have a look at it before you purchase this

    • +4
