Fitbit Alta HR $99 (+ Delivery or Free with C&C) @ JB Hi-Fi

250

Part of JB Hi-Fi's Black Friday sale. Pretty decent price if you are after this model. I'm unsure if the Gunmetal and Rose Gold ones are part of it but have included them below.
I've had experience with one of these and agree with the TechRadar review about the slight unresponsive screen and display in bright light but other than that it is pretty good. Battery life is about 4-5 days.

  • where can you find Jb's Black Friday sale list?

This is a good price and the unit is not bad (I've had it for 12/18 months).

But be aware that I've now been through 2 bands on it. The connection between the band and the device itself has failed for different reasons. Apparently this is a bit of a known issue.

My advice would be to also purchase a few replacement bands right up front if you're going to buy this to avoid any potential issues later. The replacement bands (non-genuine) can be had on Amazon for about $10 a piece.

Had it for over a year, luckily no issues with my band yet. I'll keep an eye out on Black Friday for good deals on replacement bands though thanks for the tip.

  • Pay more for less? Why not grab a miband3

    • No argument from me on the mi band3 giving more bang for buck. For those wanting that tracker check out chibots deal

  • Good price 🤑🤑🤑. …. Nice find if it comes off.

Same price at Rebel Sport but limited choices:

  • Will this fit a lean 9yo boy’s wrist or will it be too large to be useful ?

    • The large has enough notches to fit small or large wrists. On the box it says lie your wrist flat and measure from left to right. Up to 6cm was for small. Up to 8cm was for large.

    • I saw the fitbit ace on sale for $89 at big w.

  • Fitbit Ace was $79 at Rebel plus 10% off from memory

  • Dammit I bought one for delivery this afternoon because I snoozed on the click and collect, and just saw now that TGG have them for $98 until the 26th. If they cancel my order or something after Monday I’m gonna be mighty peeved.
