how much is the Delivery ?

    • I don't know! You'll have to find out on the day.

    • +1

Rep has confirmed it is free shipping!

  • +2

should i place it in shopping cart first?

  • +1

Wooow. Amazing price. What are some new features compared to band 2? Any feedback? Band 2 is not very good at measuring sleep.

    • +1

      What I've noticed since picking one up on the last deal ChiBot posted for one of these through Shopro in comparison to my 2;

      • Tracks steps much better (don't use it for sleep)
      • Much brighter and bigger display
      • Much better customisation.
      • Cool thank you.

      • Does it stay on your wrist more securely?

        • The 2 fit me fine and the 3 fits me just as well. I have bigger wrists though.

          • @AdamFury: They fit me too, but come off easily if knocked.

  • +9

200unit will be gone in one second and be snapped by script.

    • +2

Either that or site will get ozbargained.

      • well..we are competing will all bargainers around the world.

  • +1

Wow, if you can get it, it's an amazing deal! I literally just bought 3 x mi band 3 for approx $35 each from shopro. I have a feeling I'm going to regret not waiting till black friday/cyber Monday deals.

Here we go again … "Xiaomi" Sale
Xiaomi 'Flash Sale' Angers Customers in the UK
    https://www.bbc.com/news/technology-46183480

    • +5

Just go through comments on facebook or other website we can see that, this type of flash sale from them is very popular in Asia where practically no one get the product except their employees.

  • Wish op posted it one day before go live….

    • +1

      Just use the reminder link.

  • +5

I just got mine from the Shopro deal yesterday. Hooked it up to GadgetBridge on Android without installing Xiaomi app at all and it's getting all the data into my phone without sending it to "the cloud". Works pretty well so far. For the $35 odd, money well spent for me.

Note they don't have a GPS though, so if you need that, this isn't for you.

    • Does the shopro one have NFC? I'm looking to get one as my mi a1 doesn't have NFC.

      • +1

No, my understanding is that the NFC version is only available in the CN domestic market market - and I think I read it's only compatible with AliPay anyway. Not sure about that though.

    • What's this "cloud" you speak of? Is it a bad thing? I was hoping to use the mi band 3 to track my sleep to gain points with aia Vitality.

      • Well, since you're planning to use a tracker and intentionally upload your personal data to a health insurance firm I assume you likely won't be concerned about the "cloud/loss of privacy" aspect of trackers and how they typically work. In your case, for that reason, I wouldn't worry about the "cloud" side of things.

Regarding whether the 3 will help you gain points… I have no idea. I'd suggest you ask AIA?

        • Kale chips suck: Never thought of it as a privacy issue to be honest. Should I be starting to worry about that sort of thing? It's not something I've seen much on.

Chriise : I've seen the mi band can sync with some of aia Vitality's partner apps. And I've also seen the AIA Vitality in Singapore or some other country actually use the mi band as one of their main trackers compared with fitbit/garmin, etc.

@kimba88: Your call. Personal data is becoming a commodity. It's possible that it'll be used by insurance companies in future to determine your legibility and costs.

          • +1

@kimba88: Thanks for the info polde and tren. I think I might need to look into this a little more

      • I bought one for same reason but not sure if it syncs with Apple health. Haven't opened it up yet.

    • Thanks, hadn't heard of Gadgetbridge

  • +1

    That is suspiciously cheap.

Probably going to be gone as fast as those old 12 noon Catch of the day deals.

    • +8

      A big neg from me.

Looks like a regular sized neg to me

      • -1

Being invisible its why I had to say "Big" :-) .Oh thanks for the neg……I love them. Keep them coming.

        • +3

          I didn’t neg. I can prove it by +1

          • +2

@Lizard Spock: Ha..sorry I meant to edit as realised it might not have been you but got sidetracked with a genuine juicy Ozbargain post elsewhere. Opps, sorry & thanks for the +
Now on my to do list. Work out who negged (although I usually don't mind as we all have our own opinions, right or wrong). Cheers

    • +2

Heaps of deals are posted before the date of deal.
Unless there is evidence company changes deal on the day etc then no problem posting early, infact great to know early.

      • I agree but not 8 days early for just 200 pieces. As an earlier post noted (which had positive votes) its just another "here we go again" deal.

        • The way I interpret it is four lots of 200 pieces. Big difference between 200 and 800.

    • I got a $9.99 Mi Band 2 last year. There is hope

  • +3

Are the AU times correct? I plugged the UTC times into an online converter and came up with 9pm & 5am AEDT.

  • I bought one from previous deal for $35, happy with it and looks stylish. There are plenty of customisation straps you can find from ebay and screen protector.
Looking for a deal now to get Huawei Honor Band 4

  • Got one Amazfit and 1 week already but item is still not yet shipped out 🙄

  • -4

only that cheap cause they're selling fakes

    • Do you have any evidence to back this claim or are you assuming?

    • +2

Not likely. I have purchased many Xiaomi products from Gearbest and all genuine. Remember the price is for a Black Friday special (limited numbers avail) and not their usual price…….hence why they are cheap.

  • How is the battery life? I am planning to get rid of my Garmin vivosmart HR because it requires charging every week.

  • PSA: On Android, the Mi Fit app causes massive battery drains. Yesterday it used 18% of my total battery. I am using a pixel. The amount of battery it uses variesPbut is always high. I had to turn off background sync to stop it which makes the band useless as you can no longer receive notifications.

Also I don't quite trust the app - not sure what data it is sucking out of my phone. Maybe I am just paranoid. The fact that the app developer's contact email is a Gmail address doesn't help either.

Just something to be aware of before you buy.

  • +2

    UTC 10:00 is AEDT 21:00, not 20:00 … it’s +11 hours.

  • +1

Just a warning to consider, I recently received my mi band 3 and it's worse than 2 when it comes to false steps. I work a desk job and according to the band I walked 8000 steps / 6km yesterday. Which I didn't. Afaik it comes from typing on the keyboard that registers as steps but whoah this is way worse than the 2.

Edit: also firmware update keeps failing constantly via the app, it gets to 80-90% and fails. Maybe I have a lemon but not very impressed.

    • Do you take public transport?

      • Hmm interesing point, I actually did that day. 15km each way on buses. I'll need to keep that in mind in case it makes a difference.

  • Does this link still work? I can't find the link.

  • +3

How come it's still $23 for me

  • +1

1000 UTC is actually 9pm AEDT.

    • lol ic

    • +2

      google says its 8pm

      • +1

        9pm for me on Google

  • +1

    Did anyone get one?

    • +2

      Nope

  • What happened?

  • +1

    Still not active?

    • +1

      Not working mate

      • +4

        We've all been duped.

        • Does that mean we have to wait for 1 hour???

        • +1

          Kept refreshing… no good
I clicked the 24 Hour Flash Sale banner and scrolled down and it said "Sold Out" for the $13.97 deal
          I definitely feel duped.

  • Nothing!

  • +5

how come now its showing $75.41 for me? i thought the sale starts at 9 PM AEDT?

  • +1

    Shenanigans?

  • The (profanity) just increased the price from 36 to 75.

  • +2

there's no price change at all. I don't think it's a genuine deal.

  • -1

    Wait for one hour guys

  • Cheating

  • +7

    +ve to ban Gearbest again?

  • +4

    https://www.gearbest.com/promotion-24H-Sale-special-3908.htm…

shows "Sold Out" - but the price never updated

    • I disagree. The price just doubled for me, and yet still says 50% off

  • Now updated with the advertised price but SOLD OUT!

  • No just a tease. I refreshed the browser to see it go from 75 to 13.97 Sold out…. yes we have been sold out by these guys…

  • This is a JOKE lol

  • +3

    Waste of time

  • +3

Scam. I was refreshing the Black Friday, product and cart pages and at no point did the price ever show up as $9.99. But then just a minute ago (at about 9:10pm) the Black Friday page finally updated to show the deal but all 200 units were already sold. Product page and cart never showed that price. Oh well…

  • +1

1 billion chinese and a couple of hundred Australians trying to place an order for this - not surprised it sold out in milliseconds.

    • I was expecting it to sell out right away too and am quite surprised at the amount of people who expected a different outcome.
