  • Where did you see that it's a Oppo R15 PRO? I could only see on the Telstra page that it's just a Oppo R15.

It says on the Telstra page just under mobile image listed

    • Eligibility: Min cost $1,296 over 24 mths. Online offer only. For customers who switch to Telstra or take up a new service. Available on Samsung Galaxy S8, iPhone 6S, Oppo R15 Pro or Pixel 2 XL 64GB.

Pixel 2 XL sells for $730-ish on ebay, if you sell it for 700ish then the monthly bill comes down to around $24. If this plan had just a little more data i'd be all over it and use the sale of the Pixel to buy a Oneplus 6t

    • Pixel 2 can be sold for $700?

      • When i had a look on ebay the cheapest brand new version 'buy it now' price was $728 on ebay, so i'd say you could easily get $700 as a private seller.

Telstra plans no longer allows data sharing and existing Telstra customer are only eligible if they take a new number.

    • no data sharing? As in between accounts or tethering?

      • As in you can't buy a $5/month SIM to share 15GB of data between two SIMs (which is what I'm currently doing with my iPad mini 4 and my Pixel 2 from last year's Friends and Family offer)

      • +1

Also, as in if you have multiple mobile services, it used to pool data..not anymore. One of the stupidest ideas ever

    • No port in number allowed?

  • Seems like the exact same plan as 12 months ago - only $5 cheaper (or $5 more expensive depending)

They should be offering a Pixel 3 XL as the Pixel 2 XL was being offered last year and it was last year's flagship …

      • +2

If they continue with the same deal schedule the pixel 3 xl will be on the F&F plans come February

      • +3

There is one with the Pixel 3 and 30gb. They had some people come to the offices with some deals last week. I didn't pay too much attention to it though, so not 100% on the details, but I know they had 30gb. Not sure why it's not on this page. I'll try find it at work tomorrow.

        • I'm on the 2xl FnF plan with a data share Sim. If I get that new phone feeling next year… do I get to keep my data share sim?

          • +1

@So lo: No you lose the data share. I have 140 gig shared across 2 phones and 6 tablets. Went to get my new phone feeling and they told me not to change. I use over 90gig a month and it would have cost me double to get the same amount of data.

          • +1

@So lo: Honestly, depending on what price point your plan is. It might be cheaper to just go to JB hifi and go on a 12 month HSBC repayment, if you don't want to pay the upfront cost of the phone.
This is what I do, works out cheaper and I keep my data share set up. Just remember to cancel the card before the 12 months so you don't get charged the $79 admin fee.

@ONEMariachi: If he’s on the same plan as mine, then it’d be $64/month ($59 for Friends and Family plan with 15GB and $5 for the data share SIM)

Will Wait for jbhifi $200 credit and s9 pixel 3 add into the deal.hahaha

Pretty disappointing…looks like will have to wait for boxing day deals…last year Optus had epic deal of Iphone 8 plus or Samsung 8+ for 64/ month with 20GB data and 300 international minutes…hope they have similar deal with this year's flagships.

    • +2

Yeah I’m on that plan. 20gb, 300 min int calling, iPhone 8 256gb for $69/m with a $200 gift card for Harvey Norman. Amazing deal. Came out to a little over $14/m after the price of the phone. $5/m if you add in the gift card.

Pretty average with outdated phones. Wait until they update this offering, not worth it on a 24mth contract.

  • Thankyou for posting this, I ordered a pixel 2 for myself as a gift for Christmas :)

  • +2

They ended up doing the Pixel 2 on this deal last year. Will be interesting to see if they bump the Pixel 3 onto it later this year.

  • any way to recontract onto this?

  • I checked to see on online chat but they won't do the $10 off per month black friday deal on this.

  • +1

I am looking online but I do not see any $54/mo deal? It is currently at $64 for Samsung s8. where can I see the $54/mo deal?

    • The page wasn't reachable for a few days, looks like it was pulled for Black Friday. It's back up again now though.

  • Will wait for a deal with pixel 3

  • Any one had any luck getting discounts on this plan?
