I was looking for R7000P and found this even better deal D7800! (great for multi-device home user, dynamic QoS etc..), I think JB was selling at $349. Planning to use this FTTP modem/router replacing Telstra stock NBN router.

    • added! haha too great not to share immediately :p

  • +2

Too many dropouts with NBN and Loose antennas. Stay clear if you plan to use it for NBN. ADSL probably good

    • That based on personal experience or verified reviews?

      • +1

Go look at the forums, Netgear has basically no support and this model in particular has problems, it should have been recalled.

        • Oh then I better stick to other NETGEAR model

      • Personal experience. Drop out randomly probably twice a day. WiFi range is good.

  • This has a terrible modem, drops constantly, I bought a $20 Telstra VDSL modem online and bridge it with this modem/router (which it is fine for, but a real router is better). Netgear has woeful support and their forums are full of problems with this model, save your money, it has serious issues.

    • Yeah actually I’m planning to use this as a router instead, modem will be stock Telstra NBN router.

  • I saw it morning, just go to order now, jumped back to $390. I snooze I lose.

  • It's not Netgear Nighthawk but Netgear Nightmare!!!

I bought the AC1900 version and spent over 3 hrs trying to get it to work. Finally gave up and returned it.
