Just received this email, Event has extended the validity period of any unredeemed $7* Family and Friends tickets until 06 April 2011.

It also says:

As an added bonus, you can also BRING A FRIEND FOR JUST $5. To access this great offer, just type 'April' in the promo code section when making a booking.

Please note you'll need to redeem your $7 Family & Friend Tickets first in a separate transaction.

    Hi, not to be rude, but I think you should amend the title to be a bit more descriptive. Currently the title says nothing - tickets to what?

      If these were the Hoyts tickets, they were already valid until the 6th of April already… so not sure what the deal is here.

    Its for event and technically its a dupe as the second deal for these tickets did have April 6th expiry in them http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/40211 also these can't actually be purchased anymore so the deal is really only for those that already have them and didn't know that the expiry was extended

    I think its about Event Cinemas Friend & Family offer, I received the same email today, its not an offer as you can not buy a ticket now (ticket buying offer ended in first week of FEB), you can only use your already bought tickets till 6 Apr.

        i also received the email, i just didn't think it was a bargain since i cou;dn't wrk out how to buy new tickets. I haven't tried the instructions below because i don't use paypal

        Maybe the bargain is here (as per above)…. If you redeem one of these family and friends tickets you can buy a ticket for a friend for just $5. Not sure how many friends you can buy for

    You can still buy tickets for $7. Select a movie & make sure the session is before 7th of April.
    Then click redeem family & friends tokens, go through the process of selecting how many tickets you want,
    select the seats & if any drinks & popcorn you want. When you get to the stage to enter your tokens, Just choose to Check out with PayPal instead of entering your tokens.

      that's a stupid reason to neg. Its the name of the ticket. get a real reason to neg eg an extension of an already paid for voucher is not a bargain for those who can't buy it now.

    Just wondering if this information re it being extended is available publicly? Is it confirmed on their website? … I never received an email from events re it being extened. And after seeing this ozbargain post, i decided to write to events to confirm. The reply i got is that it's not extended "The Family and friends promotion is available for redemption until March 31st only, it has not been extended. The Facebook Promotion is valid until the 6th April. "
