This phone is not your everyday smartphone. However, it sure will grab more attention than any new flagship out there ;-)

Have only bought from them once and it went well.

They have been in business for years. Very common on OZB.

    • Since you asked, for anything warranty related - they are an absolute nightmare to deal with!

  • No sale on yellow. :(

good for wifi hot spot ? Any feedback

Second Sim slot is 2G only, no good.

    • I was looking into this before… from memory there was one review talking about battery life and saying it wasn't bad, but it's a low CAT device so don't expect miracles in performance.

Don't even bother, no amount of nostalgia will compensate for t9, it is the most horrendous method of communication that currently exists its narrowly worse then smoke signals using your own pubic hair and a blowtorch.

I still have the original Nokia 7110 and 8910 in my collection….

i have the old 8110 and used it for a bit until the 2g networks shut down. i'm forever annoyed this new 8110 still doesn't have a button-operated slider

  • It’s called the Banana phone in China. At least for the yellow variant.

I know that wasn't your intent but that almost sounds racist!

      :)

      • +3

Almost? Oh come on! This is getting ridiculous.
Now fruits and their colours are off limits because YOU somehow made that connection to race?

No wonder society is going to the dogs. Snowflakes getting hurt over fruit and colours.

Sorry I can't reply - I've got me a rally to get to!

        • +2

Just like everything causes cancer now, everything is racist.

You cannot call white people "snowflakes" either - racist.

          • @bargaino: Yep! You used the word "white" to describe people. Racist.

      • +2

It's called the banana phone just about everywhere, affectionately, and in jest.

NOKIA IS RACIST AGAINST THE WHOLE WORLD

i bought one of these from ebay. battery lasts about 5-6 days depending on usage.
the kaiOS store is laughably bare.
T9 typing on this phone is much better than on nokias of old. it's a quicker, more intuitive and i appreciate the shortcuts for special characters as you scroll through.
can't comment on call quality or wifi hotspot capabilities yet until my catch sim arrives
i basically bought this to replace my nokia 1100 for receiving texts for c&c orders, parcel notifications, payment reminders and other sms spam.
(don't get a glass screen protector if you're the type who puts screen protectors on everything ;)

    The Matrix Has You!

    • I bet that movie was responsible for half the sales! :)

I remember how cool they looked seeing The Matrix for the first time ;).
It was a frenzy trying to get stock, people LOVED them!
