Bunnings price match tgg is even cheaper…

    • Ok cool so Officeworks will beat Bunnings by 5%

      • yes, but pricematches are not bargains…

          Okey dokey =)
Hope this gets someone a price beat at Officeworks or any other store. If I knew Bunnings was cheaper I would have asked for a price beat at the cashier and saved and extra $11.5

@Mahalo: not too late, you can return the item and re-purchase

            • @GregFiona: Good idea but probably I would spend more money driving there and back on petrol =)

    I believed that's new RRP $239, because of https://www.bunnings.com.au/ring-video-doorbell-pro_p4211505

  • I know in the US, ring offer a free replacement if the doorbell is stolen from the front door

Do they offer that in Australia?

    • Yes, but you need to join the monthly plan

    • I believe they offer it in Australia, they are well protected though since they have the MAC ID of the device and can remotely login so if its stolen they can basically stop it from working. Not sure why anyone would knockoff a door bell though.

  • Does anyone know if this can trigger an electric door strike, so I can replace my ancient intercom system? Their website isn't very informative.

    • I believe that you need the Pro version for that.

It's the law that shelf price overrules ALL prices. This is one case where if the computer says NO, it doesn't matter

    • Umm…my understanding was that this applies to grocery items only at a chain which has signed up to the agreement?
May be wrong but my recollection of law in NSW was that the vendor has the right to withdraw an item from sale if shelf price is marked in error. I shall await the negs

Yep, code of conduct. Not law.

      • +1

Most stores will usually honour the shelf price

    • +2

not law, they are entitled to withdraw the item from sale for a incorrect price.

  • I bought one of these from officeworks a while back and I was severely disappointed, I bought this to replace a ZMODO bell which I thought would be much better quality but I was wrong. The motion detection is absolute garbage, I ended up getting a replacement which they used to then determine the problem was on my end.. I found a thread on reddit which pretty much slams the Ring 2, I ended up getting the ring pro which works perfectly.

I could not recommend the ring2 to anyone.

    • hmm got the ring 720p at bunnings on weekend for $99 (haven't unwrapped) as they matched TGG from $110 and less 10%, so it's a dud ???

I cant speak for the Original Ring but if its anything like the Ring 2 I would be taking it back. On that note, the Ring Pro works exactly as intended and i'm very happy with it. The only downside to the ring doorbell pro I think is the motion detection component of the app itself. The Ring Pro detects motion great, records it perfectly for playback however you cant walk out the front without it setting the motion off numerous times. You can adjust the sensitivity and you can snooze the motion but it does not allow you to set breaks between notifications so if you are watering your garden within viewing distance of the doorbell then it will leave you about 100 alerts unless you snooze the motion detection.
