Thanks Scotty - Prices a bit ordinary

    • Good deal, found some decent bargains. Thanks @ scotty

    • FYI when their stores have discounts, their outlet stores have the same discounts on outlet prices.

Makes their stuff a lot cheaper then any other purchasing method Ive found.

      • Yes agreed - will wait for the next round of discounts

  • +11

20% is not a good discount, given they had 40% off before.

    • +1

ugh just read T&C. this deal is not a deal.

      • +13

Was 40% off full site last week and will no doubt be 40% in a week or so.
20% off RRP is less than some of the advertised specials on limited clearance stock… EDIT: appears to be extra 20% off, but still not great
Edit: 50% off Bonds at Woolworths: So (e.g.) hipster briefs multipacks $2.70/unit compared to Outlet’s $5/unit after EXTRA 20% off. So nearly twice as much from an “Outlet” with “special promo code”… really???

        • +1

EDIT: appears to be extra 20% off, but still not great

People have posted how they have got better than 50% off from this deal, in Megan's case we'll in excess. Your neg would be like negging a eBay sitewide deal because you found an item that was cheaper elsewhere even though others are getting the best prices available, not worth the neg IMHO

          • -1

@tryagain: Fair enough, but I wouldn’t compare Bonds to eBay. Just like eBay, post inidividual BARGAINS (if there are any). Great Megan could find one, I couldn’t. Not best price = Neg
            OzBARGAIN, not Couponese

    • +1

they always had that sale,20% is a bit fishy

  • +2

Had a look for baby wondersuits and the size range is extremely limited hope they load more stock for tomorrow.

  • +3

Don’t buy anything from Bonds unless it’s 40% off.

  • +3

This is a very average deal - the only way bonds outlet discount person will know is if it gets a neg. As well as notifying other users that it’s a crap deal

  • +3

We don't touch bonds unless its 50%+, 40% is run of the mill for mediocre quality which unless you own a front loader lasts all but 12months

  • +3

20% ffs….and you make this exclusive for ozbargain

    • +33

Done anything for the OzBargain birthday?

      • -8

That’s not a reason to post average deals. I would wait till I find something good then post it

        • +51

Sorry my own baby's birthday and I decide the terms. Feel free to criticise the deal (although I suspect many have confused between Bonds and Bonds Outlet. However comment to attack the mods — that's going too far.

          • +29

@scotty: Ignore this Scotty. Entitlement is unfortunately rife. Thanks for the post, and especially thanks for the awesome site. Happy birthday!

          • -7

@scotty: Apologies for the mod attack, will delete comment (don’t know how though)

            • +6

@wazza23: Member for almost a decade and still don't know who owns the website…

        • Clearly he didn't know who owns the website lol.

    • Here's hoping Scotty has one to many drinks tonight to celebrate and brings out the ban hammer on all the downvoters.

  • +3

I’m not aware of Bonds <40% discount is still a thing?

  • -2

It's not terrible given that it's the outlet and most things are already discounted but there isn't a great selection.

    • +1

The t+c states that the discount is off the rrp?

      • In that case, yes, definitely not a deal considering everything else was 40% off over the weekend.

        • The T&Cs are worded wrong, can confirm the 20% off is off the already reduced prices and just applies to your whole cart.

          • @sbot: Yes, I also ended up around 50% off my total cart.

  • +3

They have 40% off all the time! What the….?

    • +13

Bonds, or Bonds Outlet? They are actually 2 different websites, and past deal like this shows that 40% off might be possible on bonds.com.au, for bondsoutlet.com.au it's usually just 20% off.

  • -6

They always have 40% off. This is no deal

    • +13

We might need a Specsavers deal. I can't see any 40% off deals for Bonds Outlet?

      • +9

The good old comment first, check details later trick.

      • Specsavers part of the birthday sale?

      • I thought you were crystal clear

  • Any bargains?

  • +4

Woolworths tomorrow- 50% off all bonds

  • -4

Cmon surely can do 40% like cyber mon again?

    • Free shipping for that deal too. It is odd they didn't reoffer that same deal to @Scotty
Edit: My mistake. This deal relates to bondsoutlet. I was thinking of their other site.

    • Bonds Outlet has never been 40%.

    • -2

You + community have revoked the -1 vote from "Xiaomi" on this deal.

      • +2

You comment as if to say I'd be bothered.

Tightarse, I didn't use an internet forum to get my job nor do I use insider knowledge to get front page deals so you can feel somewhat special on an internet forum.

Enjoy running after Scotty to give your compliments, after all. You owe your bread and butter to him 😂

        • -3

          Three words: sad, sad, sad.

          • -5

@tightarse: TA, let me fix that for you:

Three words: sad, sad, sad jealous, jealous, jealous.

        • -2

          Way out of line.

  • +1

I just tested the code and it seems to be live! Also seems to take off an EXTRA 20% OFF the listed price.

In the cart, it says "OZBARGAIN - EXTRA 20% OFF"

    • +1

Yup, I'm guessing the wording in the terms is off as I'm seeing 20% off the discounted prices rather than RRP here too ^^

  • +3

Just got 4 baby items, already discounted between 30-50%. Some other random discount for buying 2 baby items, plus the OZB 20% off, ended up over 50% off. Not sure what you're all complaining about!

    • Cuz you just missed out on 40% off the day before.

      • I didn't miss out, they have 40% off every other week. I don't buy from Bonds unless they've got 40% off these days.

        • then why buy at 20% when you know they have 40% every other week? Don't get your logic..

          • @Lancerx: It was 20% off the outlet store which is usually already reduced prices. I came away with over 50% off my cart which is better than 40% off RRP. Surely not that hard to understand?

  • +1

4 pairs of mens bonds briefs for $12 is good value + shipping. There are definitely some good deals.

  • Wow this is insulting offer!

    • Not according to the sheep of OzB that run around down voting negative votes because a mod posted it. Completely bias and downright pathetic 😂

Make your own decision people, 20% isn't a deal there is 50% off today at Woolworths

Just because a mod posted it doesn't mean it deserves the support it's getting. +36 is downright embarrassing…

  • +3

I have looked and don't see a bargain here. In fact it's hard to find something where the 20% off would actually make it cheaper than the listed price/deal

  • +9

Geez some people can be picky. I am quite happy with the order I just made through the Bonds OUTLET website. $5/$10 bra's that are normally around $25 - $50 then apply the OZB discount plus another 10% discount for being a new customer. Now that's a bargain!
And just to point out to some people who just don't get that it's not all black and white. Yes Woolworths is having a sale with a higher percentage off. But that means nothing if you can't get the size your after. Online normally sells out quickly for some sizes. Instore .. the same. Especially for those in rural areas where we don't have the choice of multiple stores to try. And considering I only get into town once a fortnight by the time I got in there the bargains/sizes and probably the sale itself will be gone.
Some members have become so high and mighty in their thinking about what they believe a bargain to be they forget that not everyone looks for the same things in bargains.
I vote a bargain up or down because I believe it is or isn't a good bargain. Simple as that.

    • +2

      Very well said!

    • Agree, thanks for the words

  • As entitled as it may sound, this isn't a great deal for Bonds. They regularly have 40% off.

    • +1

      sigh
No. Bonds Outlet do not normally have 40% off.

      • Didn't quite see that.
I went to the site to see what their stock is like and, well…. It's not great.

  • -1

Check supermarkets before you jump on this. My local Coles sometimes have 40% off!!

  • +4

I went to the Bonds outlet at DFO last weekend and it was 40% off discounted prices. This is a pretty bad deal.

  • +1

Hopefully this one gets removed. It is making a mockery of the birthday sale. Bonds have 40% on a regular basis, this is just an insult.

    • +9

Bonds vs Bonds Outlet. Why should it get removed, especially as OzB founder and owner posted it. It’s his birthday and he can do as he wishes.

  • Everything in my size or my kids sizes out of stock. :(

Seems like some good deals if you wear bras or women’s undies. O.o

  • +4

I bought a pack of 5 brief for $8.5 from Woolworths when they on sales. So this is not a bargain!

  • +2

Solid deal! For people whinging, this is 20% off the ALREADY REDUCED prices at Bonds outlet. I just did my semi-annual underwear stock up.

    • It's been 10 years … I'm probably due

  • +4

Discount code does actually stack with multibuy discount.

    • Not for me it doesn't. Tried on the "buy 2, 30% off" on mens clothing. But that disappeared as soon as I tried to check out.

      Lameeee

  • +2

Like others said, bonds are constantly having 40% off sales. Wouldn't pay anything more than that.

    • -2

Like others have also said, this is Bonds Outlet, not Bonds. Did you miss those comments?

      • +3

Bonds outlet also constantly have 40% off. I don't see the difference? Or did you miss those comments too?

        • -2

          See here and here.

          • +2

@tightarse: Maybe if you don't have access to a physical outlet it may be decent but their outlet stores are constantly 40% off.

            • @devize: Source? I have a bonds outlet nearby and always see discounted prices but never have I seen a sign saying 40% off storewide.

              • +4

@tryagain: Checkout the various DFO facebook pages around Australia. There are 40% off sales all the time. There was a 40% off Black Friday sale at Bonds Outlet Brisbane ending 26 Nov according to google.

Don't know why some mods and high-profile users are so sensitive.

                • +1

@tranter: Is that 40% off of RRP or already existing discounted products? Looks like RRP to me, this 20% is off of the already discounted so can be stacked.

  • Thanks for sharing

  • +1

What is actually special about this deal? The discount is meagre. Not enough range to choose from. Not even free shipping for under $49 orders. Is it because its a mod post

    • Yes

    • Evidently it's a precious snowflake post. (and comment thread)

    • It's a birthday party! People are in a good mood :)

  • +4

I have bought from bonds for 2 decades now, since they went to Made In china, the products are absolutely woeful. My bonds tshirts last a few wears max before looking more like a dress / mumu than a tshirt. I would never buy bonds again.

    • +2

bonds is definitely not what it once used to be

    • Can't agree enough! undies become loosebags after just couple wash

  • +1

    Tough crowd Scotty.

Appreciate the deal, but more you you keeping the website going.

    Cheers

  • scotty said he will take website down if anyone disrespects his comments, downvotes him, or says his deal is poo.

  • Seems like higher than normal price.

Bonds != Calvin Klein no matter what they think or try.

  • Thanks, stacked with the explorer 30% off promotion for some decent value.
