to my surprise W*NKER was accepted.

      • It seems there's no restrictions on words? Keen to see how far they'll let us go with this.

      • +6

Are you a MYER one member?

The probably checked it against your profile.

      • +3

There's no T&C regarding content, and "CHILD LABOR" is eleven letters.

        • +6

Do you want to encourage children to join the Labor Party?

          • @Daabido: they already employ several ;)

  • +1

    Um… Why?

    • +5

So they can charge you full price

      This is only 360g.

You can get an 800g one at Coles for the same price…

Getting less than half the chocolate for the same price is not a bargain….

      • +3

Ideally a cubic tonne of Toblerone in a white label box, at the lowest dollar per gram, would be the best xmas present.

        • +2

          What's the price?

  • +20

I've seen them and was thinking of getting them as a Christmas filler, but wouldn't call it a bargain by a long stretch.

Also, from what I saw in store, they just print a sticker with the name and puts it on top. Makes sense, but just clarifying if someone thinks it's a completely custom Toblerone package.

So yeah, a bit fun, but technically quite expensive for what it is and probably not something that can be called a bargain.

Also, it's not on sale, this is simply the price.

  • +7

This isn't a bargain; this is how much it costs regardless of when you buy it. An example of a bargain is if they were selling for $5 the week before Christmas with personalisation.

  • +5

$5 for a sticker. How is that a bargain? Just like the personalised malteses bucket, Tim tam box and nutella jar. Double the price just because it has a sticker with "personalised" name.

  • +7

Don't forget that coles is currently selling an 800g Toblerone for this price.

  • +1

I think the Nutella one was a better buy. I still have our jars and have repurposed them for storing other things.

    • Agree! The Nutella promo they actually print the entire label and once applied looks identical to normal Nutella jars

  • +1

I bought one earlier this month when they first introduced it. The printer kept stuffing up and the lady wasn't so great at applying the sticker so everything was misaligned. My parking was expiring so I gave up, paid for it and left.

    • I suggest you buy a lotto ticket.
At least you will have better luck

  • +5

    Apparently Lindt worked

  • +2

Coles for double product, same price less 5% from using pre-purchased gift cards. It's a no from me.

    • +8

      It's a no from me.

      This isn't Ozbargain's Got Talent.

  • -2

It is a bargain as its normally $20. All these people saying you can get more, this is for a personalised gift. So youre comparing different situation for buying this chocolate.

    • +4

Do you have proof that it's normally $20? The Myer Christmas catalogue says $9.99; nothing about saving $10.01

Toblerone 360g is $7 at Woolies, so you're just paying $3 for a sticker. I like personalised stuff, but when a deal like this gets posted as a bargain, when it's really an everyday price, you can't really say many positive things about how good a deal it is, because it isn't.

      • I looked at this for Kris kringle a couple of weeks ago and it was $20

        • So in other words, you don't have proof.

In my proof it says on the side that the catalogue starts from Tuesday 30 October to Monday 24 December … I'd love to know where you saw $20 a few weeks ago. Perhaps you saw the wrong sign?

  • +2

If you think this is a bargain then PM me. I have some ocean front property on the border of SA and NT to sell you.

    • How much?

      • How much do you have in your savings account?

        • Nothing.

  • +3

    Here's my suggestion:

    1) Pick up a bargain similar to this one this one

    2) Grab a bargain similar to this one

    3) Print out DIY labels for 15 of your closest friends and family

    4) You've now got 15 customized Toblerones @ $10 a pop, and a free printer

    Thank me later.

    • +3

After printing 15 labels, your printer, which is now empty, can be repurposed as a doorstop.

    • +6

Amateur, a real Ozbargainer would cut the letters out of a newspaper and stick them on with spittle to form the name.

      Thank me later.

    • Hope I'm not too late. Thank you.

  • These were on sale at Colesworth over the last few weeks for $5.

  • +1

Just cultivate a few friends named Toblerone - that would be simpler.

  • Toblerone tried to change the shape to charge more for less. I'll never buy one ever again.

    • They didn't just try, they succeeded.

  • +1

failed, the chocolate wording ,inside, is still toblerone

  • What they said.

  • 800g Toblerone currently on special at Coles for 1/2 price at $10

  • This aint a bargain….this is a 360g block with a name sticker on top.

  • Marketing ploy and no bargain.
