    Not working. Kaput.

Manually signed up, bought $40 DM GC, confirmation email reveived from Amex instantly for using the offer, no DM GC received yet

  • This seems to have been ozbargained, 8041 clicks by 12.14pm…

    • +1

Indeed! This level of clicks is usually reserved for Harvey Norman/Shop Small posts…

  • My transaction went for 'random' checking.. how long will it take to receive the card now?

    • Update: Received mine at 2:05pm.

  • I'd def buy the DM gift card, but I actually wanna gift it and egifts seem like a very lazy xmas idea lol

edit not available to me :(

  • +5

So Dans would probably have a record today for the number of $40 eGift cards sold.

Dans is sending out order confirmations and tax invoices, basically everything except the actual gift cards!

I wouldn't want to be employed there as a 'random checker' today.

    • -2

I wouldn't want to be employed there as a 'random checker' today

      Username checks out

    • You are real as that doesn't 'motivate' me.

  • Has anyone tried buying a gift card in store at Woolworths? Presumably Amex wouldn't be able to tell what you bought.

    • I think it's online only

      • -2

Yep, I read "in-app " as "in-store". I'll probably end up using my amex an Woolies during the month anyway so will find out then on the off chance it does work.

        • +1

You're reading it wrong. In-app means exactly that. The Iconic and Menulog both have iOS and Android apps.

        • how can 'in-app' possibly mean 'in-store'?

          :/

    • -1

      That might work.

      • it wont… online only

  • +6

Got my DM GCs at 2pm - can confirm it's a WISH GC.

    • Same here. Just received mine.

    • Next question, will everyone receive their statement credit in coming days given the above issues?

      • Hopefully!

    • Same here

    • same ;)

    • -1

Received mine 1 hour ago. It is not a wish card. Its a set of numbers they say ton be entered at checkout or online. I am not sure Woolworths staff would accept them even through it sounds like the numbers might work.

  • +1

Anyone else getting an error message on trying to pay for the DM giftcard by credit card? I'm getting:

"Could not find inventory information for item with Stockcode:GC_D_50 at Store:8888."

    • Same :(

    • Yeah me too - exact same error code

      • +3

Submitted support case, will report back on response

        • thanks for taking the initiative. Didn't think a shop could run out of digital giftcards :)

        • Not sure if your support case accelerated it, but seems to be fixed now! Just put through an order.

    • Ditto

    • +1

Seems to have been resolved now…just tried again, and it managed to go through…with a subsequent expected message of:

"Heads up, your order has been randomly selected for a security check and may be delayed by up to 15 minutes. We apologise for the inconvenience."

      • Thanks for the heads up; managed to put a second order in but also got the above message.

I used the same billing address and mobile number as the last one I ordered but a different e-mail address for the billing part

        • Same got that too.

Rang and they said it is standard and should go through with no issues.

  • Bugger. Thought I would wait and see how this goes before buying the gift cards. Looks like the power of Ozbargain has struck again. Hope we will be able to buy at a later date.

    • +1

      Never hesitate!

  • Link doesnt work for PE or westpac amex?

  • -1

Will this offer work in store at woolworths?

    • +1

No unless you buy a Dan Murphy's Gift Card to use in store at Woolies

      • Thanks for your reply!

      • +1

Got the DM gift card, email lists two codes
        - Online code 6820xxx …….. can be used online at DM and In-store at Woolies
        - In-store code 009xxx ……. can be used In-store only at DM

Can you confirm if above is correct. Thanks

        • +2

the 2nd one is the last 10 digits of the first code. You use that 10 digit code in store at DM or Woolies.

          • @Coops1: Thanks, understood now ….. previous posts repeated that the code had to start with 6820 to work at Woolies or that was my thinking.

            • +1

@LittleDon: The long 19 digit code is for ONLINE orders.
Instore it's the last 10 digits

  • Both my Amex Gold and Westpac Amex didn't work :~(

  • Can anyone confirm whether this works for gift cards at The ICONIC? Wanting to purchase something more than $40, but unable to do split payments. I know the T&C's say it excludes gift cards, but generally they still work, eg. HN Gift Cards for the HN Offers.

    • You'll have to confirm for us.

      • +2

Found out very easily.. attempted to buy a gift card myself and the only two payment options are VISA / MC, derp.

        • +1

Looks like it goes through a third-party provider as well (GiveX)

        • Dug in like an Alabama tick

      • +1

Thank you so much! Never expected.

  • Not on my card….šŸ˜”šŸ˜”

  • My only concern….

If your transaction meets the offer terms, your credit should appear on your statement within 5 business days (however it can take up to 90 days from the offer end date).

    • That's standard. We should get the credit by Tuesday

      • all g then. worst situation is u have face value gift cards. not a big risk, not a big cookie though

  • +2

Tried to buy DM GC. Got an error ā€œwe have received a decline message from ur bank…ā€. Do they put a block on Amex buying GC now? :(

    • Thatā€™ll be a sad story

    • +1

That's normal. Done couple error message on some of my cards. And try it couple times then works. I think it just system refresh error. Nothing to do with AE .

    • Also getting this message. Did you manage to figure it out how to put it through?

  • So jealous of you guys with these offers.
Ive got multiple cards and not one offer :(

    • +1

Download Firefox and you can have it on all cards. This worked for all 4 of my cards: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/6665171/redir

      • sorry, im technically hopeless,

what am I supposed to do with that code?

        • +1

me too, can anyone help us, please. Saw the video still confused. We need step by step for dummies.

          1. Using FireFox, go to https://offerenroll.americanexpress.com/enroll/EnrollmentSitā€¦
          2. Fill in your details
          3. Right click on the page and select Inspect Element
          4. Click the button next to Inspector tab (hovering your cursor above it, it should read "Pick an element from the page")
          5. Click the Enrol Now button
          6. In the code, delete validateFields(this) and replace it with true
          7. Click Enrol Now button again

          All credits go to @truetypezk & @jobski

          • @kazispeed: going to try it shortly, if this works, you guys are ridiculous legends

          • @kazispeed: thank you so much, it worked for me.

            • @Yola: Worked for me!

              • @treeman: Give credit to @kazispeed @truetypezk & @jobski.

          • @kazispeed: I got mine working,

            you guys are friggin legends!!

can anyone tell me what all the above does?
does that mean, any future targted deals I can do the same and enrol?

      • what are the chances amex flag's accounts over this?

        • I'm hoping that they wouldn't realise and just think you are one of the ones that were targetted in the first place.

  • Anyone tried with event cinemas gift cards?

    • +1

Yes. Purchased a $40 egift card and received the confirmation email from Amex

  • -1

Anyone know how to put multiple egift card into one? Can inshore people do that combine for me thanks?

    • +3

Only offshore people can arrange this for you.

Better get a hold of Nauru ASAP.

  • Used one registered card yesterday however I received following message at checkout. Card history shows payment as pending but never received any confirmation email.

"We have received a decline message from the bank for your debit/credit card payment, please try again or contact your bank".

I used another another registered today. Once again I received above message however this time confirmation email was received and payment is once again showing as pending in the credit card history.

Totally confused what's going on here. Does anyone know?

    • I had same situation as yours.

    • Same bit not show on pending. And try another time with same card and it works

    • try log out and login again, works for me

      • Thanks, that works.

  • Anyone ordered more giftcards?

    • I just ordered 5, 2 or 3 have been flagged for a security check, which is OK as long as I get them. Hopefully as littledon confirmed above they will work at Woolworths. But even just for Dan Murphy's its still good as these egift cards now last 3 years. The website had a few glitches and had to repeat some orders.

      • You did them over the weekend and they came through?

        • No I just did them in the last hour.
For 3 I have received email from DM - We're processing your order now and it will be sent to the nominated email(s) shortly. There are the ones that were flagged for security check.
The first 2 received that email but also one stating Here's the tax invoice from your recent order.
They all received confirmation emails for AMEX.

          • @Yola: Please let me know when you receive the giftcards.

            • @nightelves: received the other 3 tax invoices so looking good. Are you having issues?

              • @Yola: Iā€™m looking to do 9 but want to make sure it processes over the weekend rather than weekdays like woolies egiftcards.

                • @nightelves: My view is that if you used the manual link, particularly using the great instructions from @kazispeed @truetypezk & @jobski its better to get it all done on the weekend. Before someone arrives at work on Monday and realises what has happened.

                • -2

@nightelves: I have now received all the gift cards I purchased. They are different from the WISH egift cards and Woolworths egift cards. They have only supplied numbers to be entered at checkout, nothing to scan or print. The numbers start with 6280 which has been stated above can be used at Woolworths and the printed WISH e/gift cards I have do start with the same numbers. May only be able to be used online at Woolworths as the staff may not accept this or maybe at self checkout. Interestingly they state the expiry date is 12/1/2117

                  • +3

@Yola: The 6280 numbers you can use at the store by selecting egiftcards. good to know. Iā€™ll start buying them now.

                  • @Yola: but see above someone received 2 sets of code, one for online one for offline. why yours just one?

                    • @CyberMurning: There were 2 sets of numbers. I just quoted the 6280 ones as they were discussed earlier.

                  • +2

@Yola: The egiftcards should have an online and an in-store number and yes mine says expires in 2017 as well. But when you put it in the Woolworths money app the balance comes up as normal.

                    • @nightelves: Very correct. Woolworths money can tell you it is no different from a Wish eGC. Don't be distracted by the look.

                  • +1

@Yola: You should not let a staff member to read/use it instore. A good memory person can use you eGC easily later. Just download the Woolworths Money APP on mobile and everything is cleared up.
