    Since the B8 came out, staff who work in retail on Whirlpool have reported that the C8 is getting phased out in the Australian market. Only available via special order etc.

        I was looking on whirlpool after the comment and it was mentioned in this thread towards the end.

        "For those asking, yes, the B8 is replacing the C8 at Australian retail level. The C8's will really only be available through a special order until April 19'. On my systems at work, the B8 is simply listed as "replacement of C8". Also, the B8 will be LG's main focus for their boxing day sales as per my LG rep.

        To acknowledge the talk re: the B8 being the same price as the C8… the C8's were $6495 and $4495 when first released so I guess you can imagine the ridiculously low prices these bad boys will drop to. I'm seeing their going on sale in two weeks time anyway…

        For mine, the C8 is still the pick of the bunch. If you can snag one now or if you're not fussed on waiting a couple of weeks to have one ordered in for you."

      From memory did the same with the c7 and b7 last year. Didn't reaply effect price.

  I've jumped and bought it.. was going to wait until boxing day sales but with the risk of missing out and having to get a B8 i've gone with this deal.

  Pulled trigger on this also. If you miss at Boxing Day you may wait a while..recall what they did with b55 prices last year. Held up for 9 months. Plus c8 has better processor I believe than b8
