This deal wasn't advertised anywhere in-store, I simply asked the salesman what the best deal he could give me for a PS3 was and he came back with this offer which I thought was great value. I've attached my receipt for use as potential bargain fodder for those who are looking to buy one but can't make it to the Melbourne City Myer store.

Is it just me or does that say $360, not $400?
Yeah it says $360 due to Adam giving him a Team Discount.
The team discount wasn't from Adam, Adam was just the salesman on the day and I didn't know the guy. I guess it's too late now to black out the name after the above comments, should've thought of that earlier!
Sorry, to clarify:
Adam offered the $400 price, the team discount had nothing to do with him. Technically a mate of mine who works at a different Myer bought this as a gift for me and I was so touched I decided to get him a gift as well, of $360 cash.

Can you not read? He had to ask for the best price - which was $400 for the bundle. It is not 'standard pricing'.
If you read the title you will see that the price of $400 IS the bargain I am posting. I am in no way suggesting that customers should ask their salesman to give them their staff discount. The fact that I used a staff discount that was in no way affiliated to the salesman shouldn't have any implications. Anyone can go in store and get the $400 deal. If you don't think that's a good deal then that is your own personal opinion.

Where have I come across with a guilty conscience? Please explain to me fully exactly how this is dodgy in any way. Perhaps you should read things twice before posting so you are not so easily confused in the future.
Wow.. i dont get why people are paying out on hamwich. It seems like a genuine deal to me. If hamwich happened to be with their friend who has a staff discount, good on them! Well done for getting a good deal - $400. All those people paying out on this first poster should think again.. the more you do it, the less bargains we will see on ozbargain!

People on this site can be so immature sometimes. The poor guy is just trying to give us information about a good deal. This is Oz bargain not "Ethics" Bargain. Get off your all mighty high horse and cut the guy some slack. The deal is $400 for a 250GB PS3 Slim, not to bad if you ask me. Just say thanks and move on.

I was in the city (Sydney) today and went to Myers and they are advertising the same package for $400 - Limited Stock.
So maybe try get one of the sales people to do you a favor :D

Hi, I tried today at my local store and I did not manage to get a deal. He said something about the receipt being edited.
He claimed that the receipt should have the original price with its discount and the final total at the bottom.
Too bad, it was a good deal though
