7) Optional - use your 6th recharge to switch to a long life plus plan after the 5th recharge if you dont make that many calls and stretch your data out for longer

i wrote a forum post calculating how you can combine the 6 recharges with a long life plan if you dont make many calls or texts generally speaking and only care about data (which suits my personal usage). but the standard $21 a recharge just makes it even more worthwhile

Good bit of research OP! Regarding Step 7, on my reading I'm not sure it is possible to access the Data Bank while on Long Life Plus.

As you noted, Section 2.36 under Special Promotions states "If you have a Data Bank and you change your plan to Telstra Long Life Plus any data that is saved in your Data Bank will be available for use when you have an active recharge and have exhausted the data allowance included in the current active recharge."

Then Section 2.37 states "You will be unable to save any unused data into your Data Bank on Telstra Long Life Plus because there is no included data in the Telstra Long Life Plus plan."

I interpret Sections 2.36 and 2.37 as meaning that if you go on to Long Life Plus, any unused data in the DataBank is preserved there and can be used if and when you switch from long Life Plus back to Prepaid-Max.

    • I'm on Long Life Plus and I can access the data bank. However when I switched it was from Pre Paid Extra (Max wasn't available then), not sure if that makes any difference.

  • ebay PYRO10 10% need $120, max able to buy is 5 *$21 = $105. any ideal to max it out

i had used the buy now, use add to cart, it able to add to 10 unit

    No worth the effort.

Telstra network is getting worse and worse. The internet speed is capped and slow. No internet or signals at trains is becoming more often. Even Kogan is better than Telstra now.

Locations - Sydney CBD and north shore.

    • im doing this specifcally to avoid kogan lol

good thing i dont catch trains then

  • do these recharge vouchers expire?

edit: ok i got. appox 22 months

  • Negative feedback on eBay, a scam ?

    • what negative feedback? i bought and got the vouchers emailed to me within minutes

you can get it even cheaper on their website. just PM the seller for a voucher code

      • I received 6 vouchers but all are invalid. Telstra confirmed the vouchers are suspended and asked me to return it to the seller who is now ignoring my messages.

        • oh since you bought via ebay cant you just open a case

they could be on holidays still

alot of ozbargainers have bought from this seller

        • hmm your comment prompted me to check and looks like my remaining vouchers are invalid too

so strange. looking at their negative feedback, it looks like 10/11 of them all happenned in the last month after 12 months clean record

One of the feedback indicated seller reached out and indicated they were injured. doesnt explain the invalid vouchers but explains the lack of response

Will raise a ticket and see what happens

other ozbargainers ahve bought with no issues in the past. so unless they decided to do a runner after a surge in sales over christmas, ill keep an open mind

          • @furythree: The seller never even attempted to rectify the issue. I will add a negative feedback and recommend everyone who bought from them to raise a case with eBay and PayPal (or better both).

            • @HardQuiz: yeah i just raised a ticket

i assume if injury is the legitimate reason then itd be hard for them to respond lol

            • @HardQuiz: not sure if you got the same result but seller replied back to me last night quite quickly and apologised. Reissued me new vouchers and i just verified with Telstra they are legit

Seller said their supplier screwed them and cancelled their last batch and so they got a new supplier. Lack of previous response to other buyers was because of some holiday accident both the seller and their partner got into. But they responded to me just fine and were super keen to resolve the issue for me

Going to give them the benefit of the doubt since sh1t happens. and they sound like theyre getting alot of headache from ebay and paypal disputes by unhappy customers during the break due to their unfortunate circumstances

              • @furythree: Yes all replaced and crisis avoided. I used 2 vouchers and they worked but no guarantee the rest of the vouchers will last few more months.

                • @HardQuiz: Just wanted to share my experience as well. I bought 2 vouchers from this seller around the same time as this deal was published. One worked, one didn't. I messaged the seller 2 weeks ago but heard no response.

I contacted ebay support and they advised me initially that 'Digital content' which this falls under is not covered under the ebay buyer protection. I contacted them a second time and they said they would issue a one-time refund out of courtesy but reminded me that Digital Content is not covered.

I got the refund, but it was from ebay. Suffice to say, from my own experience I can't recommend that anyone stockpile these reload vouchers. In the unlikely even that one or more the codes don't work, you are not covered by ebay buyer protection.

                  • @ihavok: i guess this was just a series of unfortunate events and timing.

i normally wouldnt stock pile these as i only did so cause of the discounts and minimum purchase for the vouchers

but on an adhoc basis the risk is much lower and worth it

                • @HardQuiz: yeah thats my only concern i bought a years worth lol
