Hey OP can you do a deal on the Luster Mini?

    •

Hey Mate, I don't have a deal for those at the moment but if you send me a private message I will be able to notify you as soon as I get a new deal :)

If anyone would like me to notify them of deals for any other TaoTronics, RAVPower, VAVA or HooToo product, just send me a Private Message with the product name in the title and I will notify them as soon as I have an active deal.

Hey OP, will this work with the Note 9?
Oops just saw the description here and its says it does. Cheers

  •

Hi OP, the description on the amazon item page says "standard 5W recharge for iPhone X / 8 Plus / 8 and non-fast charge phones", while your description says that iPhone X/8/8+ should charge at up to 7.5W. Which one is correct?

    • -1 vote

The description is old and needs updating. The newer iPhones can do 7.5, the X/8/8+ is complicated.

They are capable but apple prevented it with a software block, I think there was an update that finally allowed it.

      https://9to5mac.com/2017/11/14/iphone-fast-wireless-charging...

Bottom line, if your phone is capable of charging at 7.5W then you should be able to do it with these chargers.

Will it charge the pixel 3's?

        •

Not unless Google changes their mind on 3rd party chargers.

I am really surprised that Google would even do that.

I'd suggest its best to confirm rather than guessing. My understanding is only certain models will support 7.5w on an iPhone and they'll need to support the components of the spec Apple implemented specifically. Especially around the time 11.2 announced the supported hardware list included 2 or 3 devices despite the market being flooded with devices that supported 10w or higher for Android.

I'd stay right away from any product that doesn't explicitly state 7.5w support for iOS devices on the spec sheet if thats important to you. I think it's note worthy that after 11.2 was released RavPower was among one of the companies that shortly after released new models that did explicitly state they were updated models and that iOS 7.5w support was included while listings for the existing models weren't updated to add this. There was a few examples of this on Amazon US where the older models had links to the 'upgraded' versions as part of the listing.

Even the article you linked to states

According to both of those manufacturers, only companies that partner with Apple (like them) will be able to be certified and have their Qi chargers take advantage of the 7.5w power output.

Implying the devices need to be certified for the support. RavPower and others since then have released certified products, but again that further reinforces the notion that I wouldn't go for a RavPower model that currently states the feature is unsupported if they have models that do state support. 11.2 is 12 months old at this point too so thats a long time to not update a listing to include a feature important to a large portion of the smartphone market.

I don't think so, Link below shows a reply from RAVPower customer care stating it can only charge iPhone XS max on 5W.

Whats the difference between RP-PC063 and RP-PC014?

  •

Thanks xev, ordered one of the pads.

  •

Already bought one of these stands and they are great quality. Buying another. Well worth even the full price.

  •

    Thanks. Ordered one.

  •

Besides the stand, is there any big difference between them?

    • +1 vote

The Stand has dual coils, so it will charge your phone whether it is in portrait or landscape position.

They will both charge your phone at the same rate.

  •

OP, what’s the difference between the 10w one and this the round disc one you sell? https://www.amazon.com.au/Wireless-RAVPower-Certified-Compat...

The round disc one states charges faster for a galaxy s8 phone?

  •

Can it use to charge iPhone Xs max?

Also, can you confirm whether or not you sell muesli?

I realise you're advertising and selling an entirely different product from a different, unrelated manufacturer, but I think Ozbargain deserves to know whether you can supply these market needs…

  •

silly question and not sure if people have encountered but if i have a lifeproof case with my iphone8, will the Wireless Charging Stand still work or will state unable to charge due to the case?

    •

It can charge through cases up to 3mm thick.

It's not able to charge through metal cases though.

  •

Has anyone figured out how to make a fast charger worker with a magnetic car mount?

    •

It won't work as the charge won't pass through metal.

Though I have seen someone suggest that as the stand has dual coils, if you move the metal disc to the bottom half of the case it will work.

You would need to experiment with it yourself though.

  •

Is the stand out of stock again?
There doesn't seem to be any option to add it to cart.

  •

Hey guys. Im new to this. Can someone tell me the difference betweeen the RP-PC014 and RP-PC063 models apart from the price difference?

Both appear to be fast charge capable. Keen to hear people's experiences etc…
