Good job. Chemist Warehouse are also an option for price beating these…

Energiser are so much better than cheap eBay coin batteries.

And Bunnings would have fresh stock.

    • +3

Just buy Japanese ones, cheapest on eBay is usually maxell branded, as long as they are Japanese they will be good. Aussie stock is currently 2.50 for 2 batteries, and cheaper the more you buy e.g. 5 are 5.50 which is very hard to beat

      • Unless you're somehow using these batteries for a fleet of keys or household items, it just seems like the best way to go is to buy the Energizer ones and comfortably know that the batteries will last as long as possible.

        • I plussed the deal, but theres plenty of reasons not to choose the energizers, including ozbargains crowd favourite (price). On top of the fact that they really dont last much longer in my experience, and there may still be some pockets where a bunnings isnt nearby (as all the eBay stuff is delivered).

        • My elderly neighbour goes through these every 4 days in her hearing aid .

Don't see how this is a bargain.

Bought a 2 pack of 2032's from Daiso (for $2.80) last week. Fresh stock, Mitsubishi branded, also 0% mercury and made in Indo like the Energizers.

They had heaps of other button cells there too.

    • What does a ‘fresh’ battery look like?

      • +2

You can tell by the manufacture or expiry date.

        • Nothing like a fresh battery.

    • +2

Thanks for letting everyone know. Personally I'd rather pay the extra 14c for these the next time I'm at the local Bunnings in my suburb than travel to the CBD or Parramatta to grab those from Daiso.

    Ikea have 8 pack CR2032 batteries for $3.99 https://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/80291156/

    • How do you find these hold up against Energizer versions?

      • Hi I have not tried the Energizer version, I use these ikea ones in my bathroom scale and they last nearly a year (weighing ourselves a few times a week)

        • Nice! That sounds pretty promising

      • @infraredshell, I found these lasted much longer for my device than the ikea ones. Maybe I got a dud pack with the ikea ones (~3 weeks) vs 3 months and still going…..

    • ikea don't have cr2025?

    • Can also vouch for Ikea version- use them in bathroom scale too and lasted over a year with several weigh-ins/week.

When I was in Japan in October it was common to find Japanese made CR2032, 2025, 2016, and other batteries for under a dollar each. I have no idea why these batteries cost so much here.

In Australia ripoff capitalism with massive markups is the norm.

Just bought 2 double packs at Sunshine store. Can confirm that the ticket price for them is as normal as other ticket prices. the quad-pack has a "special ticket price" at $5.98 which is more expensive than what I got.

        • pricehipster seems to think its discounted at $3

Last time I went to buy these, i concur there was no indication these were on sale

  • Whereabouts in Bunnings would I find these?

    • +2

Just outside/in front of the tool shop, along with rows of other batteries

  • Thanks OP. Price beat 4 pack CR2032 @ OW

  • IKEA has an 8-pack of CR2032 for $3.99. https://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/80291156 Never used them before so can't really comment on reliability.

    • Oooops, just noticed that 13as13 posted that before…
