So is the $0 annual fee only for the first year, or ongoing?

    • The card fee appears to be $0 ongoing, as per the language on the site (emphasis mine):

Sign up and be approved for Jetstar Mastercard and receive a 12 month Club Jetstar membership² plus $100 Jetstar Travel Voucher and no ongoing annual card fee

  • I took the previous deal, only difference is you did not have to be a JS member but you were to receive this membership in the deal. After an hour on the phone, first to JS then to card services I still not am a member. 2 phone calls, same duration, came to nothing. Shocking service they can stick the card I'll never use it and am about to cancel it

  • I just signed up, but I cant get to any application form?

"Q: Can I find out my limit before I apply?
A: No. You will be notified of this limit if your application is approved."
So you have no idea what the credit limit is?! And you can't request the minimum?
Also can't see where they specify the income required?

Kind of struggling to see why someone would pick this card instead of say the ANZ Frequent Flyer Platinum, where you get 50,000 QFF points (worth around $600, which can be redeemed on either Jetstar or Qantas vs the Jetstar voucher which is Jetstar only), and you also earn 0.75 QFF points per $ vs 0.5 QFF points per $ on this card, and you know what your credit limit is, and you know you need to earn $35k or more. At least in the first year, that seems better value. But if you plan to keep it, after the first year when the annual fee kicks in, this one is far cheaper ($49 vs $295).

So I guess this card is primarily aimed at people who will accept a small sign on bonus, want a relatively low annual fee card that they intend to keep, and which earns QFF points (albeit at 0.5 QFF points/$ it's a lower level of than other cards, but the annual fee is set accordingly) or Jetstar dollars (effectively at 2%), and which they intend to spend quite a lot on, and for whom Jetstar is a convenient airline that they fly on semi-regularly or more.

For example, with the Jetstar dollars option, you'd need to spend a minimum of $10,000 on the card (max of $2,500 over 4 months) to get $200 worth of Jetstar vouchers (and that's the smallest redemption level), so you have to spend quite a lot on the card to get a usable reward back.

  • I just applied but it doesn't show the benefit such as $0 annual fee or Club Jetstar membership waived.

Do I need to wait until JS contacts me?
