    I'm a dumbass and didn't double check. Applied the code then logged into paypal. The code disappeared and got charged the full price :( eBay UK won't help me and not sure if I can get a refund.

    eBay said the terms and conditions says excluding gift cards and they had their people try to order these gift cards and it wouldn't work for them.

        They weren't helpful and blaming gift cards weren't on their terms and conditions. They even tried to get their users to purchase and they reckon they couldn't get it to work.

        Going to call them again tonight with my screenshots. Hopefully be able to change their minds

          Sounds good, keep me in the loop via PM (can't seem to message you) and I'll do the same when I hear back from them.

          After they told me the t&c's excluded giftcards, I specially went back to make a dummy order and screenshotted that.

          I've also reached out to their social media. Hopefully we hear some good news.

        I checked every email.

        I got confirmation of the order. I also got a notification on my phone that my credit card was charged (Samsung Pay notifies me whenever a transaction takes place on that card, even if it wasn't through Samsung Pay).

        The strange thing is, I don't have an email from Paypal itself about the payment. Maybe it's pending for suspicious activity since the ebay account is new? No email, but I log into Paypal and the transactions are there.

    I finally received the code after 4 hours.. Email is from [email protected]. If you haven't received it perhaps check junk mail? It was sent to the same email address as my eBay UK account.

    I've been struggling with this for the last 4 hours. Created eBay UK account, entered AU phone number and fake UK address, then added AU address + set as primary. Added items to cart, entered PINCHME code, then wouldn't let me pay with PayPal (logs in fine, then "fails"). Asked me to pay with credit card —> tried twice, order appears to go through, then it says "payment pending" in the account section. 5 mins later, receive an email from eBay stating "your payment could not be processed". Tried again (using different card, same thing happens).

    Ended up creating a second eBay UK account, different username. Same issues. Called eBay - both accounts are in good standing, nil security blocks on their end. They don't understand why payments are not going through (PayPal, VISA, AMEX). Asked me to call PayPal as even their credit card payments are processed with PayPal —> now on the phone for 45 mins, still hearing hold music (PayPal). Sigh

      I had the same issue as you, the issue is not with ebay it is paypal. It didn't work on one of my paypal accounts (Active for 1 yr) as I assume it was linked to Ebay AU acc or new paypal account. I tried my other paypal acc (active for 8yrs+) and it worked fine after I verified it with an sms linked to my phone number. VISA and amex did not work for me as well.

                @ilikedeals: Since paypal is the issue, logon to paypal(not through ebay) on a separate tab or app and sort out your verification issues. It asked me to verify my phone number and change my password when I did it on my iPhone. Seems like this worked for other users too when I browse through the comments. Otherwise your out of luck.

    I continually get "something went wrong". No further info.

    Followed the steps to create the account with a UK address. Verified via Aus mobile. Changed delivery address to Aus address.

    Works correctly up to the final place order then that error.

    Tried all of my credit cards linked to my paypal account. All the same.

    Suggestions???

      As I wrote above, same thing happened to me. I tried from 1am to 6am unsucessfully. eBay now advises me that the seller's account is flagged. PayPal tells me they have put a restriction on my account for trying to purchase 25 times (each time failed, with paypal/VISA/Amex cards). The reason I kept trying is because once or twice it went through, appeared under my "transaction history" and they send me an email saying "payment failed, please try purchasing again"….

      Bought Catch.com.au gift cards earlier today after creating a new account this morning and it went through just fine. Just bought a WISH gift card and was able to purchase it as well. Though I couldn't find the gift cards on the seller's shop window and had to navigate there through the link on OP.

      Yes, I have. Their call center drove me crazy. Took me 3 weeks to get them resent! I ended up getting in touch with Paypal Australia over twitter and they fixed in a couple of days. Best way to do it.
