if you dont want the ICX sensors

You don't want them just in case you're wondering. :p

    • +3

      Why not?

    • +1

yeah why wouldn't you want ICX..
its more sensors and more temp control?

  • Nice find OP!

Card is still too expensive for what it offers though.

  • Graphics cards and iPhones share the same trend, they both going for $2K price range. Sigh.

Nvidia has lost half of its stock value.. THIS PRICING IS THE REASON

Intel and AMD have not lost HALF… Only Nvidia the rip off merchant

FYI ,, Their 7nm (equivalent to Intel's 10nm) RTX 3000 series cards are coming out next year and will replace these 12nm (equivalent to Intel's 20nm "if they had 20nm" )

And these cards will be SOOOO much faster then the RTX 2000 series at most likely the same price

Yeah, highly doubt it, Nvidia is doing extremely well for themselves, they control a large proportion of the graphics market, and really, Nvidia is going to release a RTX 3000 series? Why would they kill their own lineup, the chances are that even if they do release the new series (Maybe when amd ever do releases theirs) They would just increase the price and have limited stock.

Where are your links to sources to these? Better off living with unicorns and faries if you believe those

Nvidia still control the majority of the gfx card market. Stock price correction was inevitable given the downturn in the crypto market.

The real reason that Nvidia can charge these rates is the lack of competition, until AMD pulls its finger out its hole and actually brings out a card that can compete with the higher end GTX10 series let alone the RTX20 series, we will continue to see ridiculous pricing from Nvidia. The pricing is much more competitive in the GTX1060/1070 area where AMD actually has competing products.

    • The share price drop is due to crypo currency doing poorly.

The AMD Navi rumor is too good to be true. AMD will price them at unbelievable prices? I doubt that given the RRP for RX590. Unless AMD Navi mainstream are ready by early 2019, GTX/RTX2600 will give RX590 a hard time. If crypo continued to dive, nVidia will most likely need to price 2600 lower (and that could help sell the cards).

It will be good for AMD to do well, but rather than "wait for Navi" and "Navi is fantastic", AMD should price RX590 much lower and show the gamers that they really care.

  • I don't need or want this card but can someone find me a job that means I can afford this card?

    • +1

I've been told traffic controllers (people who have those Stop/slow signs at construction sites) can make AU$200,000. If your willing to fill in on short notice. I've never tried looking for these jobs. So I have no way to verify.

      • +3

No way, they dont make that much, closer to $80,000 (I work in the construction industry) And its mostly casual work, unreliable income, thats why it pays well.

        • What?! The Daily Mail telling porkies? Never would've suspected! /s

Edit: Added sarcasm note, just in case

        • 80k a year is still pretty reliable even as a casual….

    • I don't need or want this card but can someone find me a job that means I can afford this card?

Any job will do. For jobs not paying so well, just need to save up a bit and not buy things you don't need. The cleaners in my company have better phones than I do (most of them have iPhones).

Or, ask Santa (mom and dad) for one.

      • Yeah, I cant wait for Santa's reply when I ask for a graphics card that costs $1838.00 !!!!

        • Jokes aside. The bigger issue is that to really benefit from 2080 Ti, you need a monitor like: ROG SWIFT PG27UQ. That monitor costs even more than the graphics card. You probably need a top notch PC as well.
