    Is it still worth upgrading PS4 to PS4 Pro at this stage? I've been eyeing these deals for a while now but I can't really justify it to myself haha

      I have the same problem, my original PS4 works like a champ, I'm unsure what gain I'd get especially as I don't have a HDR tv, and I'm imagining a new console gen in about 2020. Still though whenever these deals come out, I check my bank account and get sooooooo close to purchasing a pro every single time lol.

        My XB1x is my main console but I do enjoy my PS4 for the exclusives and PSVR :)

        I reckon I'd pull the pin on a Pro if it gets as low one of the deals we saw here in the past year. Can't recall which retailer it was but it was low or mid-$300ish??

          One X primary console here too. I pulled the pin recently for $369 with the Spiderman, GoW and FO76 deal. Traded the games back in to get the money off the price. Playing Dragon Quest XI now and it looks great at 1800p. The extra resolution is appreciated, some games got PS4 pro patches but not One X eg Watch Dogs 2.

          X1X is my main, and I recently got the black Friday Amazon Spiderman bundle with the standard PS4. It will do for just a few exclusives I wouldn't mind playing.

        I traded my old PS4 in to EB games. And traded in the copy of God of War(already have it), Spiderman and Fallout 76 that came in the Pro bundle. Ended up getting a PS4 pro for $180 after that. Was a good deal.

      I upgraded recently after purchasing a 4k monitor and TBH, I think the monitor was a bigger upgrade - Old LCD monitor > IPS monitor.

      Its definately crisper, with less Jaggies but you stop noticing after a few minutes and just play the game as you did before.
      I got the Amazon $369 deal and sold mine for $200 so it wasnt too expensive to upgrade.

      If you can't justify it, put $500 towards PS5 prob coming late 2019/early 2020?

      Or if your like me and play your PS a few hours everyday just upgrade, prob will get enough use out of it.

      We just upgraded to a pro and I can’t see any difference visually and performance wise. Although it is much quieter than my old one. It’s hooked up to a panasonic oled.

      Depends how often you use it and if you have a HDR 4k tv. Id say yes though considering you can sell/trade in your old one and any games within the deal or old games.

      From what I've heard/read its more the HDR aspect that makes a huge difference (which the normal PS4 supports if your TV has it) and not the 4K bit, so like the others said maybe get an HDR TV instead.

      I got a 4K HDR TV with a normal PS4, and saw a big difference once I activated the HDR on the Ps.

    Does anyone with a lazy eye have experience with PSVR? I've barely got any vision in my right eye, the 3DS' 3D effect works but I'm worried about pulling the pin on PSVR if it just won't work for me. Sadly no one I know owns one for me to try in advance.

      Have you tried any of the phone VR? It gives a very rough idea although pales in comparison. Either or I am sure there is a VR arcade which seems to be a thing now

      I have one lazy eye. Can barely read anything. I wont like to use VR anyways considering the stress it put on your eyes, but i have tested VR on my iPhone with cheap headset from Kmart and it worked fine for me.

      I have one eye that I rely on, while the other just delivers fuzz, and is kind of tuned out by my brain unless I cover the right one. Much to my delight I'm using PSVR fine - it doesn't work like 3D, it's just a screen in front of your eyes. Hope that helps.

      I have a lazy eye. Everything is blury and I can't read anything so my brain ignores that eye. PSVR works perfectly fine. If I close my good eye, I can actually read with my bad eye on the PSVR.

              Sorry, got completely mixed up with the Spider-Man decale Pro. For the Spider-Man offer click on the PS4 1TB offer and on Amazon's site there should be a 'Add both to Cart' option to add Spider-Man as well. It'll show up as $418 in cart but once you go through to check-out the final price should be $379

      Hard to say YES anyone that says YES should confirm and back this up by being a legitimate Associate in charge or pricing/merchandising with some valid PIC OR NO PROOF kinda playground approach. I think with black friday sales gone….xmas sales…gone… 10% cash back…shop back…ummm not really sure how much more "value" any retailer would wanna pump and dump into EITHER the PS4/XBOX … the black friday sales are almost the XMAS sales these days… AMERICANA has changed our shopping habbits here and XMAS sales in flutters have some…some decent deals… Boxing day i expect BEST case scenario $499 a PRO + Red Dead that really really BEST case or a PS4 500 gb + fornite/spiderboy for $299 again ..$49 controllers again but… that's about it really they've sold most of their deals and stock by now and it's not as if australia is the easiest thing on the planet to restock for any retailer goods; the best thing that ever happened on boxing day was like 3-4 years ago $650 a ps4 500gb or 1TB?? with 5 games including …fifa 17?? gran toursimo… nba 2k17?? .. that funny brown teddy dude puzzla game and something else worth 5 minutes game time. So that had like 2.5 AAA titles. These days i wouldn't expect anything MUCH better then a AAA title + PRO / XBOX X for $499. Best case scenario you're up $20 from anything else you can get now (dunno about XBOX X) So yeah if u wanna smash noobs or make young siblings cry for breakfast at xmas in fifa…or cod… the it's worth that $20 ..if u wanna just save money with zero afterfeeling of XMAS trash talk joy …you might scrooge out $20 out of some deal or wait till next XMAS LOL :)

        It was a banner on their site earlier today, and I saw a print out in store, there only seemed to be a couple left in stock in WA when I asked so they might have finished the deal if sold out. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get any mega bundle all my local eb and jb were sold out.

        THIS worth it for the slim.. eb games/target/jb hifi should all be harassed into matching BIG W - for a change they can't use the AMAZON is an online store..i pulled the trigger on the slim; unless something INSANE value pops up for boxing day this is last chance saloon for everyone me thinks… might have marginal $20 gain on some deal but it seems this is the profit/price minimum RETAIL point this year… $270 slim $470 pro… unless..amazon things :)

    I when to EB Games and Gametraders Seaford South Australia store both out of stock on consoles

    So then went to Big W Seaford South Australia store and got a CUH-7202B ps4 pro for $469

    the guy who serve me was awesome this is my first console as i have only ever Games PC in the past so i took a lot of time asking lots of questions and he helpful, friendly and more then happy to spend the time with me unlike others shops i when to first and turns out the updated PS4 pro is not only available in the bundle and it all so says on the PS4 box that it's the updated model (7202B) and shows picture of the two prong power cord as well. I all so got the vr kit for 249 from big w over the vr kit from eb with the extra games as tho games are on special at BIG W anyway that makes it very similar price and would rather spend the extra $50 $100 on a game I want .
