      I also bought one yesterday. Just went on the Amazon chat and they said it will be refunded by tomorrow. If they offer you a $20 promo ask for the cash refund

          It was a bit hard to find the chat but they just adjusted the price for me and since there was only an authorisation charge on my credit card, the new price of $259 will appear on my statement instead of $279. No refund or credit involved.
          I ordered yesterday afternoon.

        Let me get the computations right,

        Item subtotal $235.45 less $9.09 promotion (Amazon AU voucher) = $226.36 (before GST)

        No shipping fee as I am on Prime.

        5% CR is computed before GST price = $11.32

        Originally paid $249 - $11.32 (CR) = $237.68

        Still not bad at all. The Amazon AU voucher really came handy.

          Final price = item price ex-GST multiplied by discount, plus GST on original price
          = item price / 11 x 10 x (1 - discount in percent) + item price / 11

          Eg $1000 item with 5% chasback gives $954.54 (not $950 as most people assume).

      I have pro with a 1TB SSD, used to have regular ps4 (sold for pro), and just bought a slim (for 2nd room). Also have a high-spec PC in 3rd room.

      The answer really depends…

      At current prices (~$250 slim and ~$400 Pro) I'd go slim, unless you want the best and have the money (particularly relevant if u have a large 4k TV or are used to playing on a high-spec PC).
      Most people will be completely happy with slim.

        Thanks Viper - I just spent alot of money on a high spec new TV - im not a huge gamer but I have alot of fear of missing out mental health issues (LOL). Just trying to determine if my experience will be a massive difference on a pro. Seeing that its only an upsize in res from 1080 to 1440

          Its not just the increase in resolution:
          Some games also have better visuals, longer draw-distances (single player) and more stable frame-rates. Key word being some. And of those that do, some the differences are minor, some major. Your mileage will vary depending on game basically.

          Some games also allow you to minimise the visual improvements and keep resolution at 1080p, but double the frame-rate target (e.g. from 30 FPS to 60 FPS). This is handy for fast-pace games e.g. 1st person shooters or racers.

          IMO you'll get the most out of a Pro playing the latest AAA single-player games.

              @LongMemory82: If you have a 4k TV then it's not even a question. Save the extra cash until getting the pro doesn't hurt as much, just make sure it's the updated version that doesn't sound like a jet engine. IMO RDR2 looks way better on the Pro

            @Danstar: Yeah I bought mine on black Friday, got god of war, all 3 uncharted releases for ps4, ratchet n clank, wipeout, horizon and a few others.

            Was tempted to get a Xbone X for red dead 2 but couldn't justify it for the benefit to that one game when most of the other games I wanted a console for are on PS4. Most cross platform games I'd prefer to get on PC.

            I do prefer the Xbox controllers over PS4, but much prefer the PS4 OS over xbox.
