Not much good for people in WA takes two days
to get to Vic will be all gone.
bloody vic,s would have taken them all

    Still a +for the post

    • Yup, hard to see many people from outside of Melbourne managing to claim this unless they're willing to send the coupon by Express Post.

      • Even then I don't think you have a hope with Express Post unless of course you have an envelope at home and post it off today before 6pm. I got mine into the post just now. It does seem to be an unfair advantage to Victorians, however, they might order them by first in using the postmark!? Who knows!?

Does the postbox get collected on Sunday (by 6pm)?? I think it's only on weekdays and Christmas period where sometimes they works on Weekends.

        • +1

Don't know about Express Post but the regular post boxes are definitely cleared on Sundays by 6pm, not on Saturdays however.

It's a good trade-off… 60c to mail this off to Vic + get $19.95 worth of stamps back. Although I don't see OB'ers taking advantage of this, they'll be too lazy to get off the comp!

    • You think they were lazy with the Logitech items? I think not!

If there's anything I learnt it's to not underestimate Ozbargainers.. especially once something has been posted as a 'Freebie'.

      • +2

That's different, us Ozbargainers are tech-heads, we love gadgets from Logitech.
This isn't a freebie, it requires an investment of 60c… and I don't think any of us OzBargainers would prefer letters over email =P

  • hmmm … a trip to a Melbourne CBD post office tomorrow morning might be in order :)

  • +1

Is there anyway to escape the Royal Wedding, its even coming up on Ozbargain!

I find it overwhelming how its being spruked everywhere as we get closer to the wedding date…..so happy I will be traveling around SE Asia jungle at that time so wont have the barrage of media coverage bombarding my senses!

    • I know what you mean …

… We were in London the day Diana married Charles. We saw Diana in her terribly creased dress ;) alight her carriage at the steps of Westminster Abbey, and then enjoyed the most wonderful day out travelling around the wonderful villages and scenery of the Cotswolds …. EMPTY roads on a glorious sunny summers day - everyone else was watching the wedding on TV inside. I am sure the roads have never been anywhere near that empty since (or indeed long before).

  • Thanks calypso

  • Thanks O.P nice find!

  • What's the incentives for giving away stamps?

  • Dont care the slightest bit about the Poms but 60c for $20 worth of stamps sounds good. Those $2.25 ones will be handy for parcels.

    Cheers OP.

    • that's just funny :)

  • how long do you think this'll take to arrive?

I'm moving interstate in a few weeks >.<

    • a few weeks.

  • If they give the free coupon via the website why not just let people enter their details online to get/secure the gift pack? Extra stamp sales for AustPost in return for trying to get this?

  • Several million news papers sold nationally, hundreds of thousands of coupons mailed in = Fail

    • +2

Except for stamps sold = AustPost win! ;-)

I was at the Melbourne Post Office at 9am with my enveloped coupon and there was some guy at the head of the queue called B-r-o-d-e-n I think he said, asking if he could just drop off a sack of mail for PO Box 24293 (looked like it was unstamped)

    ;)

    • +1

PO Box 24293 is at Exhibition St

      • Damn I just dropped it off at the post box on the corner of flinders and Elizabeth :(

      • thanks jv - so I guess we post it at 321 Exhibition Street.

  • worth a try!

  • what, handing in an unstamped envelope over the counter and hoping they'll take it for free? no such luck! i tried that once, in Sydney, i believe if an Aust post employee handles an envelope/parcel at any time even for 1 second, it needs a stamp, but i wonder if you just slip it into a PO box directly would they still send it back?

    • Think they would or they just chuck it into the bin if it doesn't have a return address.

      • +3

unless the return address is the original address you were sending it to…aye aye…;)

        • 'I've always wanted to send a reply letter to someone by sealing the envelope and writing "return to sender" on it lol.

  • Hm… I was lazy on Monday so I posted it on Tuesday. However I put two coupons together. Buying two prepaid posts for same address made no sense..

  • anyone got these yet, how long do we have to wait?

    • nope :( and not sure, this promotion did only just close last week (officially) assuming it didnt end like how the Logitech comp did. Maybe give it another 2-3 weeks?

      • hm..neither. I want it now!

  • Still waiting for mine. Posted it on the 11th.

  • Nothing was received as at Royal Wedding day.

  • Got it today! Right on time. Thanks OP!

  • Mine arrived today. Great timing.

  • got mine today, love it.
    Thanks a lot, OP

  • I hope I get mine tomorrow!… I have been waiting for a few freebies… these, the style closet necklaces…everyone seems to have them except for me.

  • I hope I get mine tomorrow!… I have been waiting for a few freebies… these, the style closet necklaces…everyone seems to have them except for me.

  • Got ours today!!!! Excellent!!!!

    • Where in Australia are you located, good sir?

  • Still none for me =O
    =(

  • i got mine today. thanks for the post :)

  • Can we use all the envelopes? Some have stamps stuck on them that are ink-stamped themselves.

  • Haven't received anything yet. I forgot to post it until Tuesday (in VIC), so I hope I didn't miss out!

    • same as u… I really want them cos it too effort of printing and mailing.

      • Haven't received anything today yet still. I wasn't totally interested in the wedding - I did watch it -, but it would still be interesting to receive this.

Plus, I also spent 60c on this for the stamp…

  • Mine arrived today in an 'Official Mail' envelope.

  • Bummer… I didn't get one. :( Probably too late now.

  • I never received anything, so I missed out :(
