Just received an email that it has been shipped unfortunately it is coming from NSW so it will arrive next week in Perth.
Looks like they are sending via DHL.
Does anybody know how long DHL takes to deliver? Is it overnight?
What happens if you're not home on the 28th to receive delivery?
Is it possible to request for it to be delivered next week after the new year?
I don't want to have to pay for delivery charges to DHL for a failed delivery attempt.

Does your one have tracking number on sony website. On DHL website it has in transit twice one yesterday and one today. I assume one is to pick it up from the sony warehouse and the second one is from the DHL warehouse to transport to wa.

@Richardlwf89: No change/update at all to the tracking.
What's interesting is - only an "order number" has been provided and no "tracking number".
If you go to dhl.com.au and go to Track & Trace to try and track it - it asks for a "tracking number" and putting in the "order number" yields no results.
@proudwanderer: I've called DHL, they will check the Victorian warehouse to see if it's arrived. They see a pick up scan but no arrival scan.
A week in transit, it should be here.

Same here, but I've yet to receive any calls from DHL. Will give them a call shortly and let you all know how I go.
DHL have told me that a call can be made in the next 3-5 business days to schedule delivery - which doesn't seem in line with what others had been experiencing.
Alternatively, you can call them to schedule a pickup at their depot.
I had the same response when i called, to wait up to 5 business days to schedule delivery. How long did it take for them to call you?
I am hoping for some good news tomorrow as it should arrive in Perth tomorrow if it was dispatched on the 27th . What number did you guys called. I called on one number and the lady said they can find anything but need to know which dhl operation so gived up.

Oh no I certainly won't be getting it this week if you didn't get it yet. Sony needs to get a new courier company because from information I have is they did their job they organised the courier and they picked it up. Thank you for the number I will give them a call.

Had mine scheduled for this morning, DHL delivered mine just now.
Yes, they hold it until you call to organise a time etc so they don't lug them to you and your not home. Got mine on the 27th. Still in box. Any feedback from ppl using it already.

They will call you in the coming days. Calling them doesn't do anything, they will just tell you to wait.

Yeah I noticed the status change to "held" yesterday too. I'm also in Melbourne. I spoke to DHL this morning and they advised me because of the public holiday, I'm unlikely to receive the TV until next week. They'll call me to organise a date and time in due course.
So mine has been on "held" status for 3 days. I get an email today from Sony saying that DHL has tried to contact me without success - yet no phone calls were ever received. I call DHL to enquire, to which they said that no one has contacted me and that the email from Sony was just an automated one due to the fact that the tracking updates everyday with the "held" status.
Can't help but feel like I'm being played here.

The "public holiday" was on Tuesday only. The last 3 days are not public holidays - yet they are not delivering.
Not only are they not delivering, but are refusing to even allow you to organise a delivery when you call - and just tell you to continue waiting for a call from them…
This is just simply terrible customer service!
Got a call this morning, being delivered today. Can't complain about that! Good service, just the web tracking sucked.
The wording is poor when I look at it now it says in transit but on transport history it says shipment in facility yesterday at 6.53am and the estimated delivery is today. I still haven't received a phone call so I doubt it will be today but I would love to be wrong this time.
I got a 65inch one as well. anyways, I will sell for the discounted price, not gonna earn any profit on this. This is the chance for people who missed the opportunity.

How is it?
The tv has the best screen I've seen so far. Brilliant colors and better than LG OLED in every corner. The UI is a bit slow, but you can uninstall all the bloatware and make it fast. The Inbuilt soundbar is Awesome and You don't need an external one. Since the TV is android, You can connect a wireless mouse and a keyboard, and start using as a pc even. Many android apps and games available.
Is the OS Android 7.0?
I believe Android 8.0 should be rolled out soon (if not already) - hopefully that will improve performance!
I'm using the ShieldTV - awesome awesome box - and probably the best implementation of AndroidTV - so the slow UI on the TV won't worry me too much.
Just gave another call and the tv has just arrived in NSW yesterday (first operator got me the wrong info I suspected that she was wrong when it just yesterday it had shipment in facility) so it will be another two weeks until it gets in my home. That is absolutely crap with all the sales recently I could have gotten a x900f tv at the local store and it would have been at home already.
Just received a phone call and the tv will be delivered Monday morning I tried to get it today but couldn't. I take some of the above post back. The service is now good but as others have pointed out the tracking website is poor.
Tv received cant wait for Saturday to unpack it and set it up.
