I was just looking through Amazon boxing day deals and found this, seems to be a good price for AU stock on this camera model.

Unsure of when deal ends so I'd suggest if it's something you want grab it.

Not a good buy imo. D810 is old and you may be better off buying one 2nd hand for $1300 or alternative newer models.

    • Agreed D810 is getting quite long in the tooth. You'll find there are some good deals on newer technology and better Nikon cameras and accessories at the moment with the Nikon cashback: https://mynikonlife.com.au/cash-back/

D850 is $300 cashback and D750 is $200 cashback for example, also great discounts on lenses etc. Expect there might be a few deals going on Nikon gear with Boxing Day sales looming.

Current D750 deal at digi: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/426056
Expired JB HiFi deal (got one): https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/422592

Received the cashback from Nikon into bank account in about 2 days, which was very quick. Purchase eligible Nikon gear by 31st Jan 2019 to qualify for cashbacks.

    • For studio, landscape, real estate work, this is a fantastic camera. I agree, it is old for run and gun event work and I remember my D810 didn't have a greatest noise pattern after ISO1600 but this is a beast of a camera. It is very different to D750.

    • If a second hand d810 goes as low as $1300, how much can I sell a good condition d800 :(

      • d800 second sells at that price, I have no idea where you would find a d810 for that price. Also worthy of mentioning is that the d750 focus capabilities are no where near those of the d810. I used to have it as a backup body to my d800 and in low light it would hunt to get a focus lock. Ended up buying a d850 which is my main camera and d800 as a backup.
