Don't forget the 10% cashback from Shopback, which will reduce the price down to ~$263.65 (cashback ex. gst). A search reveals that's the cheapest price on this site, so it's likely the historical low.

I also believe it's the Australian version so it should have dual sims - not quite sure on Band 28 though.

  • the australian version definitely has band 28 and nfc.

only downside is 440 processor which is still ok for most people not into heavy gaming and just running browser, apps and normal phone functions, and oreo let’s you load apps into the memory card.

other option for australian stock, band 28 and nfc would cost more, nokia 6.1 from officeworks $317, nokia 7 plus from jb for $399., bothie nokia’s are on pie alteady but australian versions are single sim.

    • lenovo now own moto. your backups, contacts, pictures, password are stored with google, same as other android phones use outside of china.
People’s biggest risk for data leakage is that they use single sign on eg facebbok, which shares data (can be contacts, storage) with the company you are connecting to, and that is the same with any android phone, especially people logging into apps via facebook.

some phones have manufacture specific apps, eg LG has bridge which allows you to backup phone to laptop, and also update android software via download from laptop or to the LG cloud, you have choice.

ugly thing with android is even when you turn gps off for location, google still track you via the phone towers instead .. and wifi location if you leave wifi turned on.

most data leakage is people consenting to share data with 3rd parties when they install an app.

i’d be more worried about by data being looked at by the australian government and the dozens of agencies who have access and where i go and what i browse than the chinese government unless in a high profile dissident or asylum seeker ….then better off with iphone.

    • Lenovo although Chinese owned, is based in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Google also has access to all your data - as a result, the US has your data.

    • Hahahaha! Wtf

      • +1

I'd be more worried about google sharing my data, or leaking my data than I would the Chinese govt… for them it's keep a govt structure in place than than monetizing with 3rd parties, for google it's "how much $$$ can we get for the data".

And then the Zauckerberg "I'm sorry, we should have done better" mantra that he keeps repeating.

  • Can anyone confirm this is definately dual SIM please ?

    • It says on website, have a read

  • And waterproof?

    • Resistant not ip rated - think g5 not x4

  • wanted 6 plus =/
