    Made in Germany?

  • Is this one bagged or bagless? Conflicting information on the site: "It has a bagless design" and "FJM 4D Dustbag"

  • I am looking for a bagless vacuum cleaner which can be used for cleaning car as well. Any good suggestion please. Thanks.

    • +1

A cheap ozito vacuum from Bunnings

  • What a price! Unfortunately I keep getting the following error code when trying to complete the payment : 70049 70084

I've emailed Ebay, hope they can fix this issue for me before stock runs out! :(

    • +1

Possible Paypal Issue or Seller restrictions to your account.
try with another ebay account if you have :)

      • ive tried my other ebay account, as well as the wife's.. same error :| Wonder whats going on

        • try to change internet connection..mobile

        • +2

Try placing the order directly in good guys website and check the store stock status

Now come back to eBay and select the store which was displayed as IN STOCK in goodguys website

          thanks

  • -8

Great price but why buy anything but cordless these days.

    • +6

Suction, quality suction, that is why

    • +1

Corless is normally also bagless and bagless is a mess when dumping that's why.

    • -2

Not only cordless but bagless. Kickin it old school with this vacuum

    • +3

That's like saying why would anyone buy a desktop instead of a laptop. Bagged/corded vacuums outperform bagless/cordless..

  • +1

What a fantastic price! Bought one, thanks OP!

  • +2

Guess I'll be returning the one I got from Gerry!

    Thanks OP

    • +3

      You bought from Gerry… smh

      • hahaha yeah fair

  • Ayo wait a second, apparently this model has 1600w… Most Compact C2s have 1800w, anyone confirm if this one has less?

    • I looked on other websites and the same model is advertised at 1800w and also heavier than what TGG are advertising.

    • Complete C2 is 1800w which is Harvey Norman has on sale for $197 now, compared to TGG ebay, which is Compact C2 is 1600w at $177.30

      • +1

So strange, Miele website insists all Complete C2s are 2000w

I ordered it last night so will report back :)

    • +3

There are two power ratings in the specifications: normal power and maximum power. For compact c2 normal power is 1600w and maximum is 1800, whereas for the complete c2 the normal power is 1800 and the maximum is 2000w.

By the way I believe all miele vaccums deliver more than enough suction power, so this should not be a factor in choosing between these 2 models. YMMV.

      • Thank you very much!

I tried to look online for their differences, but it seems to be capacity and the compact is lighter? What would you suggest?

        • +1

Definitely the compact one: made in Germany and much more quiet.

  • +3

Wattage is not an indicator of suction…. Miele has TOL machines with 1200w motors that slam the old 2200w machines. The way the motor is designed and the stacking of the fans is what creates airflow and auction.

Just note that good for the price but no comfort handle, basic floor head ($120+/- for a Miele turbo head) and smaller dustbags than the c1/C3 FJM is 1.5l smaller from memory than GN

    • Hi

Any idea if turbo head can be purchased outside and used with this?

      Thanks

      • +1

Yes, you can still purchase the Turbo Head and attach this with C1, C2 or C3 models.

  • +2

Looks like there's no standard floor head included.

Can a similar aftermarket one be used, or are Miele floor heads a specific size?

See their note, which states: 'Includes Crevice Nozzle, Upholstery Nozzle and Dusting Brush'

    • +1

Also, does anyone know how this compares to the hardfloor model in https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/416953 ?
The best info I could find was trying to compare https://www.miele.co.nz/domestic/vacuum-cleaners-1784.htm?mat=10797680&name=Compact_C2_Allergy_PowerLine_-SDCB3#item-5-2 to https://www.miele.com.au/domestic/vacuum-cleaners-1784.htm?mat=09983260&name=Compact_C2_Hardfloor_PowerLine-_SDCB0#item-2-2 and there appeared to be no differences under "product details"

      • They are the same, but this one does not come with additional dustbags and hardfloor head.

    • Actually, done some reading..

Genuine turbo head can be bought for $95
      https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/VACUUM-TURBO-HEAD-NOZZLE-to-FIT-…

Local knock-off turbo head can be had for $28.
      https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/VACUUM-TURBO-HEAD-NOZZLE-to-FIT-…

      What are your thoughts?

      • +1

Don't ever buy a after market Miele head. It's not worth it whatsoever

    • +1

      No floorhead kills the deal.

  • How does the C2 compare to the C1? The C1 is $199 at TGG: https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/miele-compact-c1-young-style-…

    • +1

C2 is German made model. GN bags (bigger bag by 1 litre capacity compared to FJM)
C1 is Chinese made model. Non-retractable wand. C1 takes FJM bags.

  • Who else hopes their Dyson dies so they can try one of these out?

    • +1

Already have the Complete C3, no need for a Dyson.

    • +2

Instead of hoping, just sell your working dyson and buy a miele
No need to suffer years of using an inferior product

  • Hoping to gather some thoughts.

Why do people prefer bagged over bagless?

    • Collects dust beter, dust filteration is much better, suction power doesn’t degrade as much when the dust container gets filled. Emptying the dust container is messy.

  • So does this include a floor head? One suitable for carpet?

    The posting seems ambiguous.

  • Just got a order cancellation email from TGG saying that the order was cancelled due to a pricing error.

The TGG site now has this model listed at $399 :(

  • Price error.. cancelled with a $20 voucher..

  • I wanted to cancel anyway as this model doesn't include the head?

Will be going for the Miele C2 Hardwood for $249 and free delivery

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/416953

    • I think the only difference is the hardwood one comes with the hardwood attachment which retails at 100 bucks. Might be worth it if you have hard floors.

  • What a gyp… now i have to find something to spend $20 on

  • So got an email earlier saying it was a pricing error,

Just now got an email saying the item is ready to be collected…. the mystery deepens?

  • So how come you can still buy it for the same price? Scoop another $20 credit?

    • wow… the good guys really are a bit useless aren't they. If you want a free $20 you might as well.

So far i have gotten a cancellation email with the $20 credit and an email to say my order is ready to collect?

In between i went and purchased the hardfloor model from Miele direct for $249… we'll see what happens from here.

I have to go to the store tomorrow to collect something i got with my $20 credit (travel hairdryer for my wife).

I will see if they actually have my order for the vacuum ready and waiting. Then i'll be stuck with 2 lol

      • +1

I'd be very interested to know what happens! Keep us posted

        • Tried to collect today, said its cancelled, refund will come through shortly. Used the $20 for more vacuum bags :/ be interesting to see if the refund includes the 10% off

      • Would also like to know if they honour it.

        • I got a tax invoice this with a reversal credit amount showing. So I guess just waiting for my paypal refund.

They only had 1 item waiting for collection today when I went in which was a hairdryer I got for my wife with the $20 credit what was issued.

I suspect if I went in right away I would have picked it up as normal with no problems.

  • +2

I picked up mine yesterday afternoon. I can confirm it does come with a multi floor head (switches between hard floor and carpet) is 1600 watt and 1800 watt max. Made in Germany. Very strong suction even on quiet! Managed to stack with 10% off eBay gift cards purchased awhile ago for even better value!

  • I ordered yesterday using the 10% off eBay code and picked it up today.

  • Bought on ebay with 10% and picked up yesterday. Comes with the floorhead (not sure why it wouldn’t come with one). Best vacuum everrr. Craps all over Dy$on. Made in Germany goodness 😀

  • Apparently my order got cancelled as well, due to the "pricing error" :(

  • Anyone got a refund yet? Got the $0 sales order and refund notice but nothing come back via PayPal yet

  • No refund yet after order was cancelled. Busy period for them, so they might take longer

    Thanks

  • Just got $197 back, happy with that!
