I recently bought a 1 year Windscribe sub from them and liked it so much, I went &
stacked another 3 year sub on top. Great app across Android, iOS and PC and they have dedicated Netflix US and UK channels, too.

^You can choose the 1 or 3 year subs on this link.

  • Wonder if I can stand PIA 3 years onto my existing subscription….. Autopay through Paypal…

    • Ask support, they're usually quite accommodating

  • Can anyone comment on the best VPN service for streaming torrents via something like PopcornTime?

    • +1

Any of the big ones that support torrents should be fine. Nothing particularly special about that.

      • Can you stream at work place?

Word of warning - be careful about where you download PopcornTime from. The original "official" version doesn't exist anymore, and as far as I'm aware the other popular forks (e.g. popcorntime.sh) have history of bundling malware and/or adware into their distributions.

  • Been using PIAs Netherlands server for torrenting for last 4-5 years. Fast connection and works really well but about to expire. Thinking of trying Nord this time, any Nord users pitch in their experience please.

Used Nord for a year a while ago (2016) the service was decent, no real issues with speed or anything. However the desktop client was terrible, slow, lagged when connecting/disconnecting, little usability when in tray icon, etc. I've used pia a little bit but I recall Pia's client being much better than Nords.

  • Just novice user and wonder which payment method do you use when paying for VPN service? Thinking PayPal but then it is tied to your name after all?

  • This is all sold out

  • Just bought Windscribe 3 years for AUD35. Netflix works but the speed is super slow.

This is the chart from Netflix
0.5 Megabits per second - Required broadband connection speed
1.5 Megabits per second - Recommended broadband connection speed
3.0 Megabits per second - Recommended for SD quality
5.0 Megabits per second - Recommended for HD quality
25 Megabits per second - Recommended for Ultra HD quality

With Windscribe US connection, please expect around 1.5MB/s.

    Please expect 480p quality.

Hope this helps with your decision.

  • Bought 3 years subs from Nord. Very happy with it. Very reliable and fast connection
