    Nintendo Switch at $399
Pair up with an OzBargainer and this deal to get 2 for $324 each.

    • Likewise $424 for a PS4 pro ($499-$75 each).

  • Does anyone ever buy any of their furniture? It's ridiculously expensive in this day and age.

I'm looking for outdoor furniture but Domayne won't be saving me money even in the sale. Anyone got any better ideas than Ikea?

I really wish this was Cashback not credit.

    • +1

It's an Amex Statement Credit; they never give cashback :/

I was looking at iPhones, but there seem to be none available in metropolitan Sydney (also I didn't know Domayne still had an electrical department!)

      • I was looking for the same. Haha.

However, 'excludes payments made at Harvey Norman @ Domayne' and 'excludes payments made for Apple products'…

        • +9

The Apple exclusion is just there because it is. You'll get the credit. I bought an iPad pro from Harvey Norman on Sunday with three Amex cards and got the statement credit of $50 on all three cards, and the same last year when I bought an iPad mini to save $100 each on the two Amexes that I used to pay for it.

          • @kerfuffle: Nice. Thanks for the tip.

I'm currently rocking a KeyOne and an iPhone SE. Will upgrade the latter to an XR once I find a good deal.

            • @[Deactivated]: how is the keyone? I currently have a Priv and think i should upgrade

              • @melbstheburn: The Key2 is out now but you'll have to get it online, not being sold at JB like the KEYone was (a while ago now).

I wouldn't get a KEYone with the Key2 out, Key2 is a big improvement performance wise. If you did get a KEYone get the overseas 4GB ram version as the 3GB ram version which was sold here got a little slow and jittery (Key2 has 6GB of RAM and better processor and is incredibly smooth).

                • @hamza23: I would love to buy a key2 however I am poor (hence the priv) was thinking of picking up a second hand keyone on ebay.

I ended up getting an iPhone X from Harvey Norman North Ryde, they had a few in stock. Ended up doing a lot of research and went to an Apple Store to see the difference between an XR and the X and boy…. the screen on the X and XS is worth the money, especially if you watch videos or read books on the phone.

        • How much did you pay for the iPhone X before the Amex rebate?

          • @moony: Most likely RRP as I don't think HN ever discounts iPhones (or Apple products for that matter!)

          • @moony: It's $1479 but I got it price matched to the an offer of 1400ish. It's a gift so that'll go through TRS and effectively cost me less than $1150. IMHO that's not a bad deal for a brand new iPhone X.

    • +5

Same thing though - you buy on Amex, get $150 put back on your Amex and so only have to pay off the reduced balance - keeps an extra $150 in your bank/pocket…

    • But it is essentially a cashback. You spend 750 but only have to pay 600 off the amex…

      • +1

so hypothetically speaking if they offered 150 credit or 100 'cashback', would you take the cold hard cash?
It's exactly same thing. Hell I would take the convenience of getting the credit over cash.

    • +4

What difference does it make. They are both credited to you.

Buy gift cards at Domayne and use at Gerry's?
    Time for the true professionals.

    • Can we use gift card bought from Domayne in any store other than domayne ? I cant seem to find any list of participating stores like wish gift cards.

      • Yeah. Harvey Norman. Which the comment you replied to mentioned …

        • Thanks. And with this offer you can buy $750 gift cards for effectively 20% discount and use at harvey norman ? Sorry for asking what seems like obvious question but i am new and havent used this before so asking these dump questions.

          • +1

@sunnynsitian: You can try, but if you're buying these gift cards online, you might have your order cancelled FYI if the comments in past Harvey Norman offers are anything to go by. Up to you if you want to take that risk.

            • @kerfuffle: I’m thinking the same thing…doesn’t exclude gift cards so looks like it should be OK? No Domayne electrical in WA & been looking for a switch at a good price.

              • +7

@chibbingus: Don't use amex express checkout option when paying for gift cards to avoid cancelation or delays. Just choose normal credit card option and provide the card info.

        • What are you basing this on? I'm just curious because the Domanyne gift card states "Stuck for a great gift idea? Give them the gift of choice with a Domayne Gift Card. A quick and simple solution for even the fussiest of friends, these physical gift cards are valid for 24 months from the date of purchase and are redeemable at Domayne stores across Australia."

It doesn't mention anything about Harvey Norman

          • +5

@donkcat: Unlike you, I actually Googled before posting the comment and found this thing called Gift Card Terms and Conditions

            • +3

@kerfuffle: Lol steady on mate, was only asking a question, wasn't trying to insult you. Thanks for the answer though, well googled

            • @kerfuffle: so, does that means I can just purchase Domayne gift cards with Amex credit cards then purchase things at Harvey Norman? that would be better than the spend $350 get $50 back

              • @webtherapist: Did you read the Gift Card Terms and Conditions? That will give you your answer.

                • @kerfuffle: ok, thanks, we can and it is such a better deal than $350 for $50 :)

    • What's the advantage in doing that?

  • +1

    https://www.domayne.com.au/hisense-50-inch-p7-4k-ultra-hd-le…

Comes to $645 for Hisense 50-inch series 7. Probably the cheapest yet but TV reviews are so-so.

  • Encountered this: "WE'RE SORRY
Our system is not responding at this time, please try again later."

  • Now we just need a $1200 p7 65 inch

  • Anyone actually purchased the GC and got the credit via amex?

    • +1

No, because the offer only started today. The most anyone would have gotten is a qualifying e-mail.

    • Doesnt say can’t do it. See above post.

  • +1

Use two amex cards for cheapest iPhone xs in Australia =)

    • some shops selling for $300 cheaper than RRP anyway :), if you are looking for Xs Max 512GB it is only around 18-1850

      • Thanks!

I was just looking for iPhone XS 64GB. 300 off retail price seems not bad…

    • Where did you buy it? I am a little confused now. Are there any electrical domayne in Sydney? I thought they are all under HN?

    • Sorry im newbie but how can you use 2? I thought there’s only field to fill in 1 card detail if buying online?

    • How do you split the payment if not buying in-store ?

      • AFAIK gift cards are the only way

  • Thanks OP :)

Can anyone recommend the best bang for buck laptop, just for basic web browsing, Netflix etc? Am happy to spend up to $1200.

    • Plenty amazing laptops for $1200 just not from Domayne.
My personal pick from there would be the Surface Pro 6 i5/8GB for $938 after credit, but it’s more of a tablet design and may not suit everyone

      • Thanks. I will check it out instore. Need to factor in the cost of the typecover too I guess.

        • I personally never use the type cover; because the weight is in the tablet it makes it top heavy and not really good to use in bed. The on screen keyboard works fine for me so makes a really good and powerful travel tablet.
Gumtree would be a good place to find used type covers

    • Probably the ones which come up as Ozbargain deals for around $1100.
Gerry's laptops are pitiful on the other hand.

      • +1

True, can't get a bargain even with the Amex credits sometimes.

    • I use this: https://www.domayne.com.au/asus-ux461ua-e1072t-14-laptop.htm…
But, it was $200 cheaper when I bought it…

      • Damn, that was a good deal! I tried to get Domayne to do the same price, but they said it was below cost.

  • +2

Great deal for new DJI Spark Flymore combo, $608 after statement credit!

    • I pulled the trigger on that one, great idea, thanks :-)
(although I did gift cards and bought it locally at Harvey Norman)

      • +1

        Fantastic little drone, enjoy!

    • How did you get 608? Gerry’s listing it at 858 now. Was there a sale? Cheers!

  • +3

Can confirm bought $750 giftcard and received email from amex [Thank you for using Amex Offers with your Card ending in xxxxx at DOMAYNE ONLINE.]. Yet to receive any email from Domayne.

    • Thanks Jacky

    • You mean a Domayne gift card or one of another company such as iTunes or XBOX?
One can use the Domayne gift card at the Harvey Norman store, right?.

    • Well done!!

    • +1

Got confirmation. Yet to see cards issued however.

Edit: order under review. Shows over folks.

  • Hmm Melbourne Domayne QV isn't on the list?

    • I think it's there

  • Domayne price match - could come in handy

  • +1

Just price matched a Sonos sub and Sonos Beam. Total price $1080 after cashback

    • how much for the sub and beam before cashback?

      • $1230 total

        • +3

EDIT - I ended up buying the gift cards through Domayne, then purchased through Harvey Norman so I could click and collect at a local store.

Purchase has gone through and will pick up this afternoon.

          • @barthez: does the amex deal include purchasing gift card?
and how has everyone price matched the sonos? call up country domayne? cos domayne sydney stores don't do electrical or speakers.

          • @barthez: Where did you price match from to get $1230? The sub is $845 and beam $495 which equals $1340.

  • +1

I can also confirm that Amex has sent notification email that the Domayne offer has been used.
Now we wait for eGiftCard delivery and statement credit.

    • +1

eGiftcards all received after review completed.
2hr 30mins from start to end.

    • Please, how long does it take to get the notification email from when you actually buy something?

  • Can we use Domayne gift cards at Harvey Norman?

    • +2

Yes. Just confirmed on online chat with Domayne rep

    • +15

      Yes you can.
You better delete your comment before kerfuffle sees it :)

  • Oooohhhh that's annoying.

Literally the day after I'd gone and spent a couple of grand on HN GCs (at approx 15% off with $50/$350) since that deal expired yesterday and this drops (at 20% off).

    • +1

      Keep buying

    • +1

Just buy more with this offer and average out your cost!

  • The AMEX email came through saying Domayne offer used. Got an email from Domayne that order is being reviewed

    • They're the worst! I got my order reviewed. Cancelled but no refund from HN.
I called up and the customer service rep was like, you have to do a charge back… and I was like… well this is non-standard practice.
      She wouldn't budge.

They're just trying to f@ck us over and make it harder. Little does Gerry know the resolve of the OzBargainer

      • Why did they review and cancel?

        • +2

Security issue.. apparently my billing address didn't match my credit card details… even though I have proof…
And the "Security Team" doesn't speak to customers.

          They are full of it.

  • Anyone else had succeeded/failed in purchasing e-gift cards?

    • 1 order under review, another one got rejected straight after purchase.

      • what's the reason for the rejection if you don't mind me asking?

        • [security reason]. I am sure everything is correct, but I'm not prepared to give them a call and argue. not worth the time fighting from previous experience.

      • Did you get the Amex email confirming offer use?

      • I also got rejected right away for no reason. I did get the Amex email confirming I used the offer. Do you know if I now use that same card to buy something else, the Amex offer would still work?
