In that price range if you guys don't mind waiting a bit for shipping Tin Audio T2's will kill these in sound quality/build etc.

used these as my main buds for uni for about 2 years and never had an issue. Definitely heavier on the low end, but sound is clear and crisp.
Have been using the CX 3.00 for 2 years now and I am still really pleased with mine. This is a great price and I would have no qualms getting them again if current pair died or something. I listen to Trance and EDM style and the added bass is good for that style, may not suit everyone, but works for me.
I do prefer buy refurbished from sennheiser than give my money to Harvey Norman.
