  • Just received the email for this, love it!

  • Sweet!

  • Thank you. Just bought the tix. I chose 1st elevation (side of the stage). Should be close view from there.

  • Cheers ticketfinder, I just picked up 4 tickets. Saw them in London over Christmas and they were amazing!

damn wish they had perth ones :( seen them once and they were spectacular.

  • Picked up some as well. Thanks!

Nice find. But I just hate how these deals attract surcharges in fine print.
    i.e.:
    $4.95 per transaction
    1.75% for credit/debit card processing
$8.20 for ticket collection (same price for venue pick up/mail delivery)

    • so each ends up around $45?

      We're hear you mykol!

Just to clarify, Lasttix doesn't sell the tickets - we're simply a website that promoters can advertise discount deals. A bit like Ozbargain in a way.

The fees that you mentioned are charges that the ticketing company (in this case Ticketek) and credit card company add to the price of ticket.

    • There is always a surcharge when it comes to purchasing tickets. Most ticketing sites charge the fee.

  • I just bought tickets to the Sydney show on August 6 for $160, second row from the front. I consider that worth every cent, but this deal is awesome too!

    • It only shows up to August 5 for me.. what link are you using?

      • Ahh. Presale for 'Cirque Club' members. The $40 tickets probably aren't available in the presale, but if you're still interested, join on the Cirque Du Soleil website.

        • Thanks.. no prime seats left when I checked.. think ill wait for a new release.. :)

  • Is anyone else getting a server error? "Content Encoding Error" I'm getting this for all links from the LastTix homepage, not just the Cirque de Soleil link. I've tried using IE & Firefox. Same issue.

    • Hi Frukka we dont seem to be experiencing any errors that we're aware of. Site is running normally.

    • site is fine here.

      • I used another computer and it was fine. Sorry about the false alarm!

  • For Brisbane, I noticed that they are only Category 2 seating tickets. After looking at the map http://premier.ticketek.com.au/dbimages/sfx64035.gif it looks like the seats are located at the back in the nose bleed section…..

Having never been to a Cirque du Soleil Im wondering if its worth $49, or should I just pay $109 for Category seats….

    • It is a big venue, but I decided to take a gamble. From what I can gather our tickets are right in the middle (at the back, obviously). At least it's better than Cat 3, which is back AND to the sides!

Just bought three. Second tier seating at Rod Laver so will need to duck for landing jets but it will still be a great experience for the kids. $7.50 in charges so thats OK. The actual purchase was via ticketek. Looks like they are filling seats on a rolling basis so I would expect more to come.

Still very happy and am giving this the thunbs up! Thanks to ticketfinder, otherwise I would have missed it.

    Bring on the clowns lol

  • Just got 4, wasn't willing to pay full price but am really happy to be going to see it now! Cirque du Soleil is great :)

  • Rod Laver Level 2 far away?

    • That's what I am wondering. Will it still be a decent view in Section 35 - Row GG?

      https://premier.ticketek.com.au/dbimages/sfx64332.gif

      • has anyone been before that can comment about the view?

        • This is the first of their shows to come to Australia as an 'Arena' show. All others, including Saltimbanco, that have travelled to Australia, have been under the 'Grand Chapiteau', French for 'big ass tent'.

I think it may be a case of, you get what you pay for unfortunately.

  • Nice one, been wanting to go for years.

My family and I have been to 3 Cirque Du Soleil shows over the years - all in Sydney - at Moore Park under the bigtop. It's always been very cosy and intimate being close to the show. Even the cheap tickets were "good".

We would all love to go again … however I wouldn't waste my money on this one being presented in such a large arena.

Category 2 tickets are so far away from the show that it just won't be the same.

I think a lot of people will be disappointed!

It's a shame that Cirque Du Soleil has gone so commercial and is doing away with the bigtop.

    • Then pay full price for premium seats like some other people?
Comparing the usual price for the particular seats to this price, half price seems like a deal.

    • Doing their show in an arena doesn't make it 'commercial'. The bulk of Cirque's shows are still performed under the big top, with the remainder in purpose built theatres in Vegas etc.

Saltimbanco has actually already been to Australia back in the 90s, and the big top version has been retired. This arena show means people who have never seen Cirque are able to see one of their more traditional shows, not moody pieces like Quidam, Varekai and Dralion.

Sure, it would've been great to see a new show this year under the big top, but I'd prefer this to nothing at all.

  • Will more tickets be put up for Sunday 31 Jul 2011 at Acer?

  • Hi just bought some tickets for the show at Brisbane entertainment centre. Having never been there myself I am not aware of what it looks like inside. Got some of these category 2 tickets in section 23, row W. I know this is at the back and was wondering if the show will still be enjoyable or is it just that far away that you can't see a thing. Thanks

does it still matter since you have already bought the tickets?!?. just go and enjoy the show.
