      haha, it's held off - but now that I've bought one it's a guarantee that something newer and better will immediately come out

        Newer yes, but doesn't mean better, depends on your needs. The A6500 is a brilliant Camera, especially at that price. I have the A6000, also awesome, enjoy your Camera.
