Did this last June deliberately during a 23 hour BCN to MEL, absolutely recommend. Maybe not the Westin Doha it was a little away from the action but broke up the flight home beautifully sitting around the pool.

    • Do you mean you had a choice for a shorter transit, but chose to stay longer to take advantage of this?
If so, I thought the offer only applied if you booked the shortest transit possible.

  • This is different from the transit hotel. There should be a minimum of 11hrs transit but doesn't have to be the shortest transit available. Absolutely recommend it. Booking is a breeze.

I had two different bookings, for my wife and myself so two different ticket numbers. Stayed once enroute Spain and while returning too. Ozb style.

  • Anyone know if this will work with a Qantas Classic Rewards booking with Qatar as the airline?

No it won't - tickets booked with Qantas points are issued by Qantas even if the flight is with Qatar, so the ticket number won't start with "157"
