Hey guys, Amazon are selling those Aputure Light Dome II for extremely cheap @179$. That's 44% off

At first I thought this was the Light Dome 1, still pretty cheap at this price. Then I looked closer and it was Light Dome II. I contacted Amazon and got confirmation that this is indeed Light Dome II. Grab it before it's gone. Already bought 2 myself.

    The price history shows it as being this price for 2 months, and only being $199 prior to that.

      The price history was for Light Dome 1. Not II, beside the II has just been released, not even in stock at BHphoto, take this with a grain of salt, ưell Amazon is risk free anyway.

    havent heard of this brand before… would recommend elinchrom / profoto for professional job.

    Otherwise the new softbox product from magmod that can fit 2x ad200 looks good.

    Would recommend people to invest on something reliable, and it will have a better re-sell value in the future.

      Aputure is a pretty good brand for its price and has been making huge storm among videographers for it's affordable and quality actually.

      This is a bowen s mount octobox. Usually the cheapest one will cost you 200$ for a cheap one.

      That doesn't have the quick setup and collapse feature. It might be cheaper but is also a pain to set up and break down, esp if you don't have assistants. Also no gel holder, no grid (decent grids are at least $60) and I'd question the quality of the reflective and scrim fabrics. I don't have the light dome but from reviews it is a decent product.

      I use to have one of them, there is nothing bad about it but it doesnt have much extra over the cheaper unbranded options.

      What kind of flash do you have? Flash gun or studio flash? If it's Flash gun you better off with regular soft boxes and umbrella, if it's studio then this might worth it. But keep in mind this is a very deep soft box.
