          • @Clear: To the mods: Oh no. People don't hold a grudge and follow you around and downvote on OzB. That's just my paranoia. #gaslighting

And why the hell would I point you to other bargain sites? So you can post more RRP crap and ruin them too? Thanks for pointing out your slander btw. I've responded on that thread too.

            • @syousef: No downvoting from me. Sorry if it's coming across as being aggressive but I'm genuinely interested in what they could be. It's not uncommon for people to say similar things and never back it up 😉

              • @Clear: " Sorry if it's coming across as being aggressive"? Ha! You literally flat out called me a liar. I'm not helping you with anything dude.

                • @syousef: So it's true then. You can't back up your claims.

                  • @Clear: Did you fail basic logic? Or are you just a professional troll? If you call me a liar I'm not going to try to prove you wrong. This isn't the playground and I'm not 10.

            • +1

@syousef: Cuz you're putting too much effort into this.. forget it and move on….

              • @alz: Congrats on feeding the troll. Did you get a picture, and if so how much did they charge for it?

Price jacking. Also do we have to start worrying about russian bots on Ozbargain? How else do you explain all the upvotes on every single ebay deal, no matter how bad.

  • Wow I've never had an issue with them in fact I bought my i7-9700k on release date for about $620 with my 15% off ebay vouchers. Product came in a few days

  • Just terrible prices

  • +1

price of T5 is ridic. Hi Jack

  • Pathetic pricing.

  • Dang all the downvotes, this thing has been knocked off the frontpage with all the downvotes. People-power!

    • And so it should.. Its advertising.. not a bargain

      • I'm guessing OzB get some cut from all the clicks?

  • No bargains after searching

  • yep this tomfoolery needs to be negged en masse

  • Okay if they are so bad what about:

    i7 9700K 4.9GHz 2TB+500GB NVMe SSD 16GB RTX 2080 Gaming Computer Desktop PC
    Listed $3,599 (expensive)
At 20% $2,879 - this looks a good deal for this spec.

But apparently better deals elsewhere? Please let me know…

    • -1

Just chucked that Spec together at PCcasegear… $2826 before a fake 20% off

So the $3599 Price is the 20% jack

      • -1

I just tried the same thing. Best I got was $3300 plus as a customisable system.

Even selecting the parts alone (as close as possible) came to $2902, which is NOT the same as an assembled, tested and delivered system.

        Please compare apples with apples…

        • OK.. so add on $100 for assembly and delivery… the $3599 advertised price is still bullshite.. which is the whole debate here..

The computer you're referring to should be $3100 Max plus 20% off.. So it should be $2480 TOPS!

The whole point of these comments is that it's not actually 20% off..
Is the computer an ok price.. Yes.. but it's not 20% off

          • @Megahowler: I understand that.

My point mainly was almost everyone saying things like "20% off and it's down to RRP", "there are NO deals", etc. I'd not seen such a system for sub $3K elsewhere.

If anyone can point to a similar deal with any of the regular & reliable shops (eBay or bricks & mortar), pref Sydney, I would appreciate it:

            i7-9700K, 16GB ram, RTX2080, 500GB NVMe SSD, 1-2TB HDD (or 2nd 500G-1T SSD), 750W PSU, properly cooled & fanned, assembly/test/delivery (or pickup) for less than $3000…

  • never again gonna buy from them. :(

  • anyone of these 20% off stores have Say a corsair HX750 PSU ?

  • I had a look see at the ebay store and didn't find anything worthwhile. This was even before I saw this post. I came here to see if any others in the community found something good. Like a lot of people have noted, I actually found that the prices would actually be more expensive than what they could be had on other stores. Anyway, I tried negging the deal, but apparently I had to have a published comment saying why I was negging the deal. It's a bit of shame. I was pretty excited while shopping for something and then seeing that big 20% off banner on top.
