Samsung Galaxy S -$29 Big Cap + $6 HP - Virgin ( $450 + 200MB)

130

With the Galaxy S 2 not very far away, Samsung and the carriers, are stepping up their moves to clear the remaining stock of the original Android powerhouse, the Galaxy S. Vodafone and Three have dropped the handset to $0 on a $29 and now Virgin have joined the fight, adding the Galaxy S to their Big Cap lineup, along with a $6 handset repayment. This brings the handset in at $35 a month for $450 of credit and 200MB of data.

Virgin Big Cap
* Supersized with $450 cap credit every month
* Rollover your unused cap credit to the next month5
* Unlimited mobile talk & text to other members
* Free Voicemail in Oz

Vodafone are also offering this on the $29 cap with $0 repayment but couldn't find the link. Found this though

Samsung Galaxy S Review - CNET
This is better than the Voda/3 deal since it includes $450 of rollover credit while Voda is $180

  • If there was no $6HP this would be a clear winner over the 3 deal. I'm patient I'll wait. :)

    • me too :)
That's what happened with SE X10, it was on $49 cap and now it is FREE on $29 cap

      • I have that, it's not the best phone but for its price, it's extremely good.
They're clearing out the stock cause there's the SE Xperia Arc that just came out.

      • yeah I am using a friend's X10 for rooting and testing
and it feels pretty much the same as the Desire HD
yes the sense UI is better and all, but the MUI custom rom is just pure awesome s** for my eyes!
so who cares about stock UI anymore!

For those who want more monthly data quota, Crazy John deal is better

$0 upfront, $29 per month includes $200 call credits + 200mb data + 1GB bonus data (so total 1.2GB monthly data)

    http://www.crazyjohns.com.au/samsung-galaxy-s-bk/view-handse…

    • But no free calls to anyone?

      • actually you can choose unlimited calls to 3 and vodafone instead of that 200M data

  • Has anyone tried calling up Virgin to see if they do price match with Vodafone, 3 and CrazyJones? I really want this phone on Virgin and i don't want to pay anymore than $29 when the other 3 major carriers have it on $29.

  • the additional $6 can be justified on the fact that (1) more credit to be used, (2) rollover credit (3) better network…!

    sadly Virgin doesn't offer a WP7 handset contract~ only if I can have Omnia 7 with Virgin……

In alot of areas Virgin is still pretty crap anyway…

  • Crazy good deal. Incredible phone.

  • Nice deal - I got the LG optimus for the $29 plan last month, I think this is a great option for people who want the better phone.

  • 6 months to go, by the time my contract end hopefully this this phone is $29 + $0HP :)
