Probably best to actually say that it is a graphics card.

    • yes.. 1GB Graphic card

  • unless you live somewhere remote (like northern WA) it would probably be cheaper to buy this from a local shop (or get the 512mb version because you obviously won't be doing anything graphically intensive with this card):

  • I'm in the Perth metro area and shipping is $12

MSY have the ~ GT440s + HD5670 for about $75 brand new, much better cards that are actally better then integrated. this card performs less then current/previous integrated.

they have 430s for $60 ish as well so this deal is phail x 10

  • Performance wise, I understand even the ol' Radeon HD4650 leaves this in the dust. On the other hand, though it seems to able to get the HD4650 in the US for $40, you aren't going to get it new in Oz for that. On the other other hand if you are a gamer, then getting a old HD4650 will give enough juice to get you though a midrange game, while I wouldn't really want to game with this. There is currently a scratched HD4650 for $40 inc. shipping on ebay.

There are also similar deals to this one on 1GB G210s on eBay, so this doesn't seem like a never to be repeated offer. I don't find this deal all that exciting.

MSY is australian based? so what is the point?

  • I'm looking for a video card. Not this one as the Passmark is too low. Support your local shop and if anything bad happens they usually swap it out for you on the spot. I'm resisting giving a -vote for the guys in the remote parts of Australia as I imagine postage may be up to $10 for them.
