Well, it seems like you have to queue at the General Admission and wait until you are in the front of the queue, then proceed to the information desk to get the ticket exchanged. Don't go to information desk directly, it will waste your time.

  • It's worth abt 15.

      You reckon?

We got the $10/pax a few months ago. I reckin it was just worth that. Not much to see on the Melbourne skyline.

  • Is it still busy nowadays? I've never been there before.

    • Avoid sunset times (which is the best timing haha) it is not busy at all. We waited for 3 minutes, fairly short queue there, not bad.

was there 2 days ago, paid walk in price, dang it!

  • Very slow…
For me, I would avoid going on it again

Been on it once….not even worth $5 in my opinion.

was there after new years at around 2am trying to take photos with my dslr.

was approached by a cleaner/managment dude that said "you cant take photos here - its private property"

    um ok.

    • I'd say employees there are not that friendly (most of them, except for who checked our tickets and took photos for us)

  • says valid for a year, bought tickets but now says expires 31 march??

    • on the website…

May be there was some confusion because of this?

In the event that operations are temporarily suspended due to adverse weather conditions or due to an unplanned closure, Melbourne Star will provide new tickets valid for a period of 12 months from the date of issuance

    • I'd say its very reasonable to get the one year extention (with reasoning like thunderstorm which was yesterday). Anyway i'll edit to avoid confusion.

  • it works.
