  • If you sign up at HN are you eligible for the Mobile TV streaming package? The Optus website says its an online offer only.

  • On Optus chat now being informed both the student 10% & Netflix 12 months deals are dead. Bloody hell looks like I've missed it by a week or so!

    • The (profanity) dogs cancelled our order due to "issues" and now we need to reorder while missing out on the 10% and the 12 months Netflix. Optus can suck my cock.

  • Good news from my side. And thumbs up for this deal. Got this service on 4th feb. 10% off @ HN and 10% off student discount. And i told sales rep at HN im going ahead with plan olny if they provide me free case and screen protector and they check with optus on chat and free case and protector. They kept me happy with Cygnett skin and skin protector

My free Netflix finished so i gave shot at optus chat this evening and voila netflix code for 12 months. But i was told only for samsung devices.

I told them my friend bought same deal and he got netflix and im still chasing after 2 weeks

Optus deal seems to have ended. Might want to update the post to expired

    • The deal still there, I just clicked the link and checked.

      • It had expired when Shaun said so.
Myself and another got an "expired page" back in response.
        All back now.

        • ok, I see, weird

Scratch that, I visited an optus store and they didn't know anything about the deal so I searched online and couldn't find it, plus the link in this post doesn't work so I assumed the deal had ended.

However it's still available here https://offer.optus.com.au/coverage-and-value?SID=con:mhome:…

    • On a side note, this doesn't say much for the knowledge of Optus store employees…had no idea

      • is the 10% still available from HN? Thanks

        • Yep, was in there on the weekend and they said till the end of March.

  • Deal has disappeared from the Optus site again… Not sure what's going on with their website. On a side note called Harvey Norman and the 10% is still going

    • Live chat also saying the deal is over, wtf I thought it was going until end of March?!

      • Just checked link, the link and the deal still there, but some other phones joined this deal from $69 on the first page, click the right arrow and you will see the $59 deal.

        • I've spoken to 2x Optus reps and they said the deal was pulled on Monday and they probably won't honour any online deals.

          • @stoodamire: When I asked the online chat today they said it wasn't available but said they could still do the deal. I rang Harvey Norman and told them about it, they said it it looks like the deal has been pulled but they can still do it. Got an appointment tomorrow to port my phone over with them

Update. Went to Harvey Norman this morning. The deal is definitely over and they confirmed it was pulled early and is now only being offered to existing customers signing up to a second plan. However if you say you saw the ad and specifically request deal they'll still honour it. The Optus guy on the phone had to speak to his service provider to make it happen though. I'd advise if you want this deal to get on it asap.

  • Also went to Harvey Norman today to sign up for this deal. It officially ended on the 10th of Feb for port-ins, and is now only available to customers adding another service to their account (meaning if you have a friend/family member with Optus you can sign up under their name and do a 'change of ownership' afterwards).
I had to really push for HN to try to honour this deal, which they did eventually (very luckily; after an hour or so of trouble).

    • It's also worth noting that the 10% port-in discount won't be applied if you add a service to an existing Optus account.

      • Is this a lease or own plan? Looks confusing based on the critical information summary.

  • Looks like the deal is back on? Page is active again.

    • Yes you are right, it is back since yesterday.

      • I can't find this offer anymore on the Optus sites. I was hoping to jump from Virgin on the $59 Pixel 3 offer but it seems to me they have withdrawn it. I'm sure that it was supposed to expire some time in March.

They can't claim they have run out of stock as the same deal is now being offered to existing customers - "Get this exclusive plan with selected phones when you add a service to your account" https://offer.optus.com.au/exclusive-offer-19/

  • Does Optus offer $10 off pm port in credit deals, similar to Telstra?

  • Anyway of keeping old number without porting?

  • Vodafone have the iphone x for $75 with 30GB

    • +1

      that's for 36 months

      • +1

Yep, you are correct sir +

  • I got an email from Flybuys 2 weeks ago & then another follow-up email 2 days ago. It has the above posted deals plus new phones added to it like the P30 & P30 Pro. There is bonus flybuys as well.

I was just wondering if anyone has signed up through the Optus/Flybuys landing page. Terms & Conditions on the page are:

Offers available to current flybuys members who reside in Australia, receive an email with this offer, and sign up to a new eligible Optus Service. Not available with any other offers, unless specified. Offer can only be redeemed online through the Optus/flybuys landing page. Offer ends Sun 31 Mar 2019, unless extended.

I was looking at Mate 20 Pro $69 plan but the newer P30 looks just as good if the preorder would also include the Sonos One.

    Mate 20 Pro on 24 month $69 would be $1581 i.e. $1656 minus $75 (15000 Flybuys)
P30 on $75 (20gb data) would be $1401 if Sonos One was provided for preorder $1800 - $100 (20000 Flybuys) and possible $299 for Sonos One.

I haven't signed up or online chat but I am curious if anyone gone this path

  • Looking at the S9 or Mate 20 for the wife but these deals are lease plans it seems? $59/$69 My Promo Flex?

Edit. It has the wrong CIS attached as Online Chat told me. Its a My Promo Plus plan
