First of all, AU$57 (US59.97) for PS3 sharp shooter is a good price, though it may not save you a lot; secondly, the US version has a better looking IMO, compared to the red version sold in Australia; thirdly, it is from Amazon, a reputed retailer. It looks like Amazon significantly expands its international shipping services, which is a good news for us.

To people who think "amazon only ships books and dvds to australia":

  I prefer the red version, I was planning on importing the red one and was very surprised when I saw we got it here, picked it up at Game for $68 (BigW price match)

  The original batch of these things was defective. You've got to be sure you're getting the fixed one.

  Not sure what the cutoff manufacturing date was, but I believe it was a worldwide recall.
