Razer Portal Dual-Band AC2400 Mesh 2.0 Router $63.20 Delivered @ Sydneytec eBay

Needed a cheap wifi router for a new FTTP connection next month and this is about as cheap as it gets for an AC2400 router. I'm sure it's not as good as an Asus RT-AC68U - but it's half the price!

Reviews are mixed, it's apparently tragic at file serving (only USB 2.0 ports) but general web use should be more than acceptable.

You can also mesh a maximum 2 of them together to cover a larger area.

  • Dang, I just bought a Netcomm NF18ACV for $90 yesterday …

    • +1

That's not a bad thing depending what your needs actually are - the Netcomm is a modem/router with VOIP so does FTTN and FTTB where as the Razer one will only work as a Router not a modem so only good for FTTP

      …at least that's my understanding!

  • just a warning this router has pretty poor performance reviews, maybe one of the worst performance wise.

    • It seems to be a bit of a mixed bag from my sleuthing?
I would say for $63 it'd be punching above similar priced routers though?

I guess I'll find out soon enough!
