Original POOLTIME 20% off 118 Stores on eBay Deal Post

First post — hope I'm doing this correctly!

My eBay watcher just picked up this deal from Sony Australia's store on eBay.

Although box damaged, but it's a relatively low price compared to deals that have been posted on OzBargain!

Do you mean this? Watched Chelsea v Arsenal on the Optus sport app using the inbuilt Chromecast in the TV and didn’t have any problems.

        • Yeah. That was my only concern because I like to game and there would be considerable static images onscreen due to HUD, etc.

Glad everything is great for you! Makes.my decision to.buy even harder.

          • @Goodbyemoff: I guess on the other side, it comes with a sony warranty and purchased through Sony so no middle man retailer to battle with to get to the manufacturer. I would think if you get hit by the dimming issue as bad as it looks in the GoW video you'd have a good case to send it back to them or get a refund, as it looks pretty unplayable when it occurs.

  • Listing ended with stock still available. Must have hit the limit as now the listing is for "Manufacturer refurbished" for a higher price haha

  • Received today from TOLL.
Looks like a refurbished one. Marked "Sony Seconds" on the box. Box looks old & very bad state…
When ordered it says "New - Never used"
Waiting for Sony response. Might have to return it!
    Not happy!

    • Not good. Any pics? Did you hear back yet? I'd be interested in hearing some updates.

To the other people who received perfect new TVs: did your box also have the "Sony Seconds" on it?

      • No indication of the unit is seconds.

      • Solved. Gonna return the big parcel to Sony & get a replacement.
        Haven't open the box yet.
Sony is very quick in solving the issue.
Looks like they ship from the wrong warehouse (seconds stocks instead of new)
I think if the TV comes from DHL it is new, otherwise it's seconds?

        • That's good to hear. From my past experiences with Sony Store, it always worked out well.

  • I ordered mine over the weekend, ran around to the various retail stores to compare this to other screens.

Delivered this morning to Brisbane, DHL. It arrived sealed and in new condition. No "box damage" per say, just areas where I'm assuming the box was tied down for shipping or delivery this morning.
