          This SSD or this…

          Misread, apologies.

    • What's the major difference between this SSD drive and the Crucial MX500 500GB SSD bar for price and warranty 3y /5y. I am looking for 1 as a 2nd drive in my computer.

    • BX is trash

      buy this one instead

      • May be Samsung $119

        • youre not going to get any noticeable differences paying 120$ vs $99

but huge difference buying the BX vs MX

          BX is missing SLC caching

          quote from google review:

The BX is a stripped-down version of the MX - it's got a different (slower) controller chip, is lacking MX's data encruption feature, and doesn't have the MX's SLC (single level cell) caching, so it's not as quick or durable as the MX. SSD NAND Flash bit cells have a wite/erase cycle lifespan

  • Totally forgot to buy the Ryzen 5 2600 from them :(

  • I guess we can't strip the case off external HDD nowaday?

You can, but scuttlebut is that this is a Seagate Archive disk so not that good for use.

    Shopping Express/Futu is terrible.

Fastway stuffed up the delivery then returned it to sender. SE/Futu answered messages up until the package got back to them, offered to resend or refund. Once they got it back they ignored all messages. No reship no refund, ignored and dragged out the eBay dispute. Finally got the refund from eBay.

    • I only ever use C&C now. Delivery to your house is just not worth it, imho.

If you're not home, they might leave it—> gets stolen.

If you have signature request & not home, good luck (as happened to you). Last time this happened, they kept it locally for 5 days— but, I had to go & get it from them @ 40kms away!

C&C, means I pick up as I shop at Woolies.

So happy this is a thing now.

      • Yeah I'm definitely going to give C&C a try. But with my local Fastway franchisee I don't know if that will work either.

4 separate parcels sent over a 2 week period, he faked attempted deliveries on all 4. My premises is attended 24/7 and I was home myself for one of the "deliveries".

2 were eventually delivered by a different person who told me the guy's excuse was he couldn't find my very normal house address. Then he just put "attempted delivery no one available" in the tracking and threw them back.

Then when you try to schedule a redelivery, it's still the same crook so nothing happens.

    • I wish I'd read this before ordering. Hopefully arrives on day off
