eStore "mystery box" (2-3 items) - $20 incl delivery)

13
MYSTERY

I hope this isn't similar to Crap of the Day. Although the stock image suggests it's along similar lines :S

Personally I'm not touching "mystery boxes" with a barge pole (thanks to COTD). Buy at your own risk!

Mystery box from Crap of The Day was CA AntiVirus and that would be "worth" $75

Unless you can tell me what the items are so i can compare prices, this is not a bargain…

after that thrashing COTD got for that CA AV, i wouldn't be surprised people will neg just based on this being another 'mystery' item, so ozbargainers, flame away!
ps i learnt my lesson 2 years ago so i never buy mystery items again, there's a reason why it's a mystery-if you knew what it was most wouldn't buy it!

Mystery item: When you get it you'll be mystified about what you were thinking when you bought it. lol!

  • I won't be offended if you neg :P

I just want someone to buy it so they can tell us all what it is (so we know for next time) - any takers? :P

Yes, but the problem is that the next time it will be a different mystery. :)

      • lol

  • I am still waiting for the $3.99 mystery item from COTD last month…. lol

    • it's not a mystery anymore, it's CA anti virus, forget it, just download MS Security essentials, free and great protection

      • oh crap… just when i thought it would be something more useful like a tools set..
i have yet to receive mine either.. think i will just return it and get back the $4 bucks.

      • Should of knew would be something crap for $4 lol oh well…

        • The mystery item is CA Internet Security Suite 2010 OEM edition and it clearly says on the front not for individual retail sail lol. Just ask for a refund. They'll probs give you store credit and let you keep the item. It seems like a bit of a ploy to get you to buy more stuff from them…

      • CA was the mystery item from COTD, who knows what this one is.

    • same - you reminded me ;p

  • $20 is a big gamble on a mystery item. The reality is, if it was a product that was popular or a genuine saving, they would tell you what it was. This is just an easy way for them to get rid of crap that doesn't sell, to people who like to live on the wild side of life.

I'll stick with the local school fete's 50c lucky dip.

  • it's actual a mysery (misery) box. you get it and think "why did I waste money on that" and then unless you throw it out immediately you will continually be reminded of the bad memory.

    • I still have mystery junk sitting on my desk. I leave it there to remind myself to NEVER buy mystery items again.

Also useful for when you need a shot of instant rage.

  • some people have more money then sense
