TRAVELMORE2019

Greetings everyone, I was just having a look around and noticed that these flights have dropped even further by approximately $20 on a range of flights!

Considering that they're already really cheap and the popularity of these deals, a further nearly $20 price drop seems like it's worth posting!

I have used similar dates as per the previous post, all credit must go to the IWTF rep for compiling these!

Other dates are available for Travel during May/June and September - November 2019. Use the matrix about the pricing to alter the dates.

TRAVELMORE2019 gets you $30 off at BYOJet

  • Perfect. Right when I'm planning to go.

    • +2

I'll be there in June. Let's have a Ozbargain party in Tokyo!

  • +2

$600 return from Adelaide is a great price, what's the weather like in October/November?

    • +1

I've said this in some other post. Sublime, autumn festival and Halloween which is one huge weird party. Temp fantastic. Just go.

Personally, I'm time poor and 21 hour flights even with the world's best airline is too much. Would rather pop a sleeping pill and do jetstar direct. More time to explore a fantastic destination. (been 5 times)

      • Booking to stay a few hours in singapore airport hotel (extra cost obviously) to have a shower and a 4 hour snooze makes the 21 hour total transit time much more bearable. Each 6 hour flight ain’t too bad.

Doesn’t make the 21 hours any shorter though, granted! But you’ll arrive fresher.

Note: I’m comparing this to flying out of Adelaide, where you have to do 2 flights regardless.

      • Last time I looked Jetstar stopped in Cairns for a long time on the way to Tokyo.

        • Yes, from Melbourne I stopped for 3 hours in Cairns on the way out and 2.5 hours at the Gold Coast on the way back last time. It was fine, time to stretch the legs and grab a bite to eat.

  • Is BYOjet the next Bestjet?

  • Looks like a great deal! I've been waiting for some cheap flights to Japan.

I'm a bit confused though, when I click on 13/May 27/May $597 as an example (departing Melbourne), the Singapore Airline flights seem to be a lot more than $597. Am I doing something wrong?

  • Is it possible to combine this with the $1 stopover hotel deal from Singapore Airlines?

  • Are these fares upgradable using miles? Upgrade to business

  • +3

Took up this offer during last years promotion. As great as Singapore Airlines is, I would've preferred a direct flight to Tokyo from Sydney, I personally found the transit time too long and too inconvenient, the flight itself was great though. Great service, good entertainment, food was above average.
For those with VFF gold, Changi business lounge was average - we do not get access to the Singapore Airlines Kris Flyer lounge, which looked amazing from the outside but the Star Aliiance Gold lounge. No lounge access from Tokyo Airport.
    Just my 2 cents.

    • It isn't that amazing when compared to other competing airline's home lounge. Just slightly bigger spread, toilets and showers. For some reason, even the business lounge is just 1 big hall with chairs (slightly comfier than the KF Gold). Nothing like Cathay Business in Hong Kong.

  • Shitty call line. Keep dropping out mid conversations. Fine for booking for those with 100% sure travel decision.

  • 30 hours from Melbourne to Japan? No freaking way. I just flights on Qantas $350 each way and direct. Much rather that, thank you.
Sometimes you can't put a price on a pain in the ass.

  • +5

For an extra $150-$200 from Sydney you can fly direct, easily worth the time and fatigue saved.

  • Has anyone used this company?

    • +1

      Yes it's flight centre.

      • You mean flight centre is same as byojet ? Will we get same price if we walk into flightcentre office ?

        • Well since flight centre price matches, you will for any company, but i was more referring to the fact that its a subsidiary of flightcentre.

  • Don't forget the $20 sgd transit voucher you can pickup whilst going thru Singapore Airport too!

  • Any1 has used byojet b4 ? Prices r tempting bt reviews required plz.

  • Do ozbargainers actually trust these flight finding companies? They all have shitty reviews and the internet is full of horror stories when using them.

    • I've been using third party websites even for expensive, long haul trips and have had no issues whatsoever. I'm sure there may be legitimate complaints here and there, but honestly far too often it's usually people who are stupid/feel entitled eg. typing in their own name incorrectly into the booking system, choosing the wrong dates, cancelling at the last minute etc, and then having a massive sook because they're being charged to change details or not being refunded.

  • I like it thanks a lot!

  • Is BYOjet the next Bestje? safe to book?
